Sorry for the delay in response.
I was impressed with the speed of response on the refurbished amp - I had it back from Klipsch in about 10 days.
Re-installation was fairly easy.
Klipsch included the red+black connector wires to the speaker, plus the three wire (blue/white) LED light assembly already connected to the amp board.
I had disconnected the originals from the amp board in order to get the amp out. To use the new leads would have meant removing the speaker to access the terminals and free up the LED + wires, so I disconnected the new ones from the board and reconnected the existing ones (meant scraping some glue off the three wire terminal on the board to remove the new LED wire, but no real issues.).
I also went out and bought a new dedicated Monster surge suppressor for the sub, and a 25ft Monster THX certified subwoofer cable (which was about another $60). I am taking no chances on frying this amp!!
Anyway, got it connected up and its working fine so far. Soundwise, the sub blends very well with the Quintet II 's I have. We watched Terminator - Salvation the other night - sound was great, plus it gets a serious work out on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II via the PS3.
I have a Denon receiver with the Audessey auto set-up. The Audessey was not recognizing the sub with the sub set to AUTO. With the sub powered up before switching on the Denon (and AUTO set to OFF on the sub), the Audessey then recognized the sub and it went through the set-up fine.
So the message is: "so far, so good". No complaints about the Klipsch service.
