  1. Man, I'm sorry to hear that. They NEED take care of you. Those are expensive headphones. Klipsch makes a solid product, their build quality is subpar. Im so in the habit of analyzing my music that I just cant enjoy it unless it sounds good LOL. Im working on it maybe ill go to therapy . I really hope you get a replacement. I want you to keep the the community here up to date on this. I asked some questions and this is what I found: Klipsch has 7 people on the customer support team people above one, being Mr.Klipsch. Definitely a company trying to maximize profit. I'm still waiting for my email so i can send my phones in for a new pair.Ill let u know. P.S. Heres What I learned in Managing marketing Projects for several serious dollar companies: You don't judge a product by how sells, but by how many times it's returned.
  2. Today was my lucky day! I got through to them and they are processing the return. I will have a replacement in approx 1.5 wks. I am satisfied. Whats the deal with your x10's? PS. If anyone is considering Custom 3's heres my educated OPINION: As a VERY experienced Sound Engineer especially in Mastering, there is NO WAY the C3's are audiophile grade, UNLESS you know exactly how to equalize them(which you shouldn't have to especially to the degree I have) I spent painstaking hours matching them to a pair of BW800D's &803D's and Its actually pretty damn close, epically when the signal is from a good pre. If anyone who owns these notices there flaws, they will know how to fix it. I f you like they way they sound then they serve your particular end-user purpose. Just remember the music that you hear on any klipsch phones is NOTHING like it was in the studio!(compressed, relatively high distortion which is audible to trained ears, HUGELY bloated between 50-300 HZ and several dB low in the midrange 1Khz all through 14+ Khz If you are used to a pair of B&W Nautilus, Wilson audio, or anything else in that league, then you know that klipsch is not going to make a truly reference class product, thats not their market. All In all Pretty Nice Product and If you are average joe wanting a stong loud bass driving headphone then GO FOT IT. If you have ever heard truly Flat Sound you'll BARF LOL.. BE Cool Friends! And thanks for the reply!
  3. Hey Friends of Klipsch, My Name is Kenneth, this is my first post and I would like to thank you in advance for reading this. I'm going to get strait to the Point: I have owned a pair of Custom 3's for 5 mos, if the mid-bass is properly equalized they sound about as good as my old B&W 803D's. However the decision to protect the cable with a mesh cable actually is more harmful to the cable than it helps. As many of you are aware these have an issue with kinks. My pair has less than 20 hrs on them, because I bought them for the plane and mixing concerts, both of which I haven't done much this year. 3 weeks ago the side of the right headphone FELL OFF!?!?!. I take immaculate care of them, in fact I baby them. They are always in the case and I keep them clean. Not only did the side fall off, the right phone no longer works. I am extremely disappointed by this but understand it happens Klipsch is a Great Company, if I didn't have confidence in them I would have bought Sure or even a more high-end audiophile pair. As I said Klipsch IS a good company, HOWEVER lets talk about their customer service. I have called almost daily for 3 weeks with no answer within business hours and to the correct department. I left repeated messages and have had no return phone call. I spoke clearly and gave a quick jist of my concern and a phone number. I realize these are inexpensive headphones and they have many other products that are more expensive but I still expect them to honor my purchase. Now the reason I came here and did not go on all the audiophile sites and head-fi is out of Respect to Klipsch. I want to give them a chance to resolve this and take care of me as a valuable long time customer how has purchased MANY thousands of dollars worth of Klipsch Loudspeakers over the years. I'm not here to tarnish their reputation on this particular product, all I want is to go away from this a happy man, I mean C'mon I even registered my product lol. Am I the only one wit hthis expereince? For Klipsch: As stated in my messages, I have the receipt as well as all original packaging and materials. Thanks, Kenneth R.
