  1. Thanks for the reply, Bill. I'll definitely purchase the VC-25. I just hate to return the RC-52. i'm a sucker for a good deal.
  2. I have a pair of VF-35s for my fronts and I am planning on getting the VS-14s for my surrounds. I recently got a deal on a RC-52 center channel speaker for $100. Do you think this speaker will work well with the others or should I spend $300 for the VC-25? Money isn't a huge issue, but I would like to save a few bucks where I can. Any thoughts?
  3. Does anybody have any experience with the VS-14 surround sound speakers? I am considering purchasing those given that I have the VF-35s for my fronts and the VC-25 for my center. I have been doing some research on the VS-14s, but I have seen mixed results. Also, given that I already have the VF-35s and the VC-25, is my best option for a set of surrounds the VS-14s? Thanks for the help! Kyle
  4. Ha...I must say, as I'm getting more and more entrenched in audio and video stuff, my vital organs become less and less important. Any recommendations on speaker wire brands/gauge? My surrounds will be about 15 - 20 feet from my receiver, my center will be about 1 - 2 feet from my receiver and my right and left speakers will be about 3-5 feet from my receiver.
  5. Thanks for quick response, Mr. RF62. I forgot to mention that I also have a Klipsch Sub-12 in my system. I agree that I need to get the rears replaced as soon as possible. Do you think by having the Sony speakers in the mix, I will take a serious hit to my audio quality?
  6. Thanks for the quick feedback. I forgot to add my sub into my last post. I also have a Klipsch Sub-12. I agree I need to get the rear speakers replaced as soon as possible. Do you think the Sony's will do the job for the time being? Or will I really be doing myself a disservice by adding them into my system?
  7. I am a novice when it comes to audio/video equipment, but I am trying to learn more about it. I recently took on the task of building my first home theater room. My equipment of choice (given my budget) are as follows: - Receiver: Pioneer VSX21TXH - Front Speakers: two Klipsch VF-35s - Center Channel: Klipsch VC-25 - Rear Speakers: two Sony SSB1000s (I had them from a previous purchase) - Subwoofer: Klipsch Sub-12 Is this a decent set up for my first home theater system? I'm a little nervous about the Sony speakers, but I was curious to see if they will hold me over until I can get the Klipsch surround speakers that will match my front and center speakers. Any feedback is appreciated.
