Greetings fellow Klipsch fans
I have a couple questions regarding powering my speakers properly and selecting which of them should be placed where.
I figure I should start with what I have. My speakers are being placed in a room that’s 22 feet wide and 25 feet long with 8 foot ceilings. I am currently powering my setup with a Harmon Kardon 347.
Speakers:
Center: RC-52 soon to be replaced with a RC-64
Fronts: Pair of WF-35
Sides: Pair of RF-82
Rears: Pair of F-1 or a pair of RS-42 (I have both, but need help on picking which to use)
Subs: one XW-500d and two RW-12d
I guess my first question is should I switch around the WF-35s and RF-82s or leave them how they are.
Powering options:
I know I want to go with a preamp/amp set up now, but choosing the correct sizes is where I have questions.
I plan on getting the Marantz AV8003 preamp unless someone knows of something better in the $3,000 price range.
I am looking at Parasound Halo series amps and I was going to stick to just buying stereo amps for expandibility reasons.
I like the A23 and the A21 stereo amps which are rated at 250 and 125 watts RMS, respectivly, at 8 ohms. What I was thinking of buying was one A23 for my front stereo speakers which right now are the WF-35's and three A21's, one being for my side speakers, another being for my rear speakers, and the final A21 for my center which I plan on biwiring both outputs to.
Any thoughts on my amp choices would be helpful and I am afraid to bring it up, but I also fear "overpowering", which I guess is relative and does not really exist, but non the less I would like some reassurence on that note as well.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
