Got the Scott Tube amp from Craig on Saturday and hooked it up to my KLF 30's...........HOLY S#%$! Wow! I cant be happier. It sounds friggin amazing. That amp just makes those things sing and its got plenty of bottom end to go with it. Perfect....Thanks again guys for all your help. You definately helped me make the right decision. MJK

Thanks Gary...I have talked to Craig. I know thats what I need to do. I guess I just needed someone to tell me that. I am knew to this tube thing and having trouble justifying buying a 45 year old unit. But I know I wont be disappointed. Thanks again for the advise! Cant wait to hear Jerry comin out of TUBES!

Dennie, I currently have one receiver which I use in my HT with paradigms. I have a set of KLF 30's and KLF 20's that I used to use in my HT.The KLF's sat in my basement for a year..eerrrrrgggh. I have an EX now and they are back upstairs! Yeah!! At first I wanted to run the 30's and 20's as front and rears (like I use to). But after doing some thinking and the amount of money I have. I think my best bet is to go with running a 2 channel system and either run the 30's or 20's. This system will be solely for music (classic rock, rock, reggae, bluegrass). I mainly play CD's and I also have a ton of mp3 and lossless(ipod) music. So I need to get a DAC. I think I have finally decided to go the tube route. Which is where Ive been wanting to go a ll along. So right now Im just trying to get an idea of which way to go...craig at NOSVALVES has a vintage Scott LK72. I was also looking at a Jolida 502b. I know absolutely nothing about tubes but what Ive read. Im looking forward learning. Any recommendationson which way to go would be great. Right now Im leaning "new" rather than "vintage" only because I know nothing and obviously its less scary going new.... MJK

Okay I have decided to invest in tubes for my KLF Series Speakers. I have both the 30s and 20s. Am going to run just one pair for now. Could someone point me in the right direction? If I go with an integrated tube amp will I loose anything? Is it better to go pre amp and tube amp? Budget is tight for tubes. Only looking to spend around a $800 - $1000. Also, obviously would like to purchase something I can build a system with to eventually integrate all my speakers. PS listen to a lot of classic rock, rock, bluegrass... Anyone using a digital to analog converter with their mcintosh systems? Was looking at a couple different ones like the PSA Audio Digital Link III? Also, how bout any ipod stations like the wadia 170i Transport?

Well Ive got KLF 30s and 20s. Was thinking about getting the emotiva seperates and running a pre amp but emotiva is out of pre amps right now. Been looking into to everything under the sun and have completely confused myself. After all the great reviews on emotiva i decided to try it out and now no pre amps. Budget wise around $1500.00 total. I know its not much but money is tight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Definately looking into 2 channel only. Was even considering just using one set of speakers for now and adding another amp later. So definately willing to build her up! Thanks!!!!!
