  1. You're right... I know nothing about receivers though. I've never messed with them. []
  2. Haha, I had mine for around 6 or so years. They're really good speakers. I'm just mad because if those two HC1011 chips I bought are ruined now because of whatever's wrong with it, that was a waste of money. I may just buy some new speakers and let them run my television and computer both. Good luck with your set.
  3. I seen that post the other day, but I looked at it again and saw a thing or to I could check out. I doubt it'll be my problem, but maybe it could help. Thanks for taking your time to help me.
  4. Okay, I'm about to go crazy with the amp on my 5.1's. I've had them for about 6 years. A few months ago, one of the HC1011 chips went bad. I ordered another one and had the local repair shop put it in... then within the last 3 weeks, the other original chip went bad. I ordered another chip and had it put in. Also, for the past several months, I've noticed the back of the amp getting pretty hot and recently it's just been getting really hot... and fast. An hour ago I finally put the amp back in the subwoofer box and had the subs hooked up. I started to play music and the subs wouldn't hit right, then just stopped working. After a few minutes, the speakers had a low whine. I took the amp back out and when I wiggled either HC1011 chip, the tone changed in the whine. I also noticed with the two black heat panels that are beside the chips (sorry I don't know what they're called), the left panel gets extremely hot, but the right barely even heats up. I'm really aggravated with this thing and was wondering if you guys had any help for me?
