  1. Hi there... I have been fooling with my sub and I was wondering if, generally, it is better to set the high cut closer to the max (about 120hz on my sub) if none of the main speakers can produce bass? Suggestions appreciated! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  2. Great! Thanks... found that post. I see you are now using the KLF-30's and not the RP-3/5's... which do you like more and why? Also, which would you recommend I use with the Yamaha RXV-596 receiver? ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  3. thdrought: Unfortunetly, the site you gave me doesn't appear to carry the RP-5's or even the -3's. ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  4. Hey all.. Simple question: What is the cheapest price I can get the RP-5's for and where can I get them for that? Thanks! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  5. talktoKeith: Thanks for the link... all of those cables seem to have the y-adapter build into them and none of the cables are Monster... do you have a link where I can get monster cables/accessories for good prices? ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  6. Thanks for the reply! I'll give it a go and see how it works. Thanks to the both of you for your help! It is much appreciated! I'm still in need of a part number or place to get a Y-Splitter though... maybe you guys can shed some light on that for me? ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  7. The way my room is setup prevents me from setting it up like that, so I wil just run it off the B's and not use my other speakers. Could you tell me a bit more about the Y-adapter... what it does, where I can get one and what the part number is, etc? Thanks! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  8. Ya, it's powered... thanks for letting me know!
  9. Also, I have U-571 ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  10. Thanks! What if I were to connect the speaker wire from the sub to the A speaker outs along with the main speakers... and get a sub cable? Would this work with signals coming from the A outputs and the sub cable to the woofer? I would like to use my B's for an outside set of speakers. ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  11. Great, thanks! I have my sub connected via speaker wire to the B speaker output on my receiver also, but should I also purchase a sub cable too? Thanks! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  12. My question is fairly simple: If I use speaker wire to hookup my sub so that I can have it in stereo, would my system still be considered "5.1" since I wouldn't be using a subwoofer cable? Thanks!! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  13. Hi there... I am setting up my new Home Theater system and I am a bit confused about the subwoofer hookup. I have a Yamaha receiver with both A and B speaker outputs, so here is what I've got... I already have a Monster sub cable run to the subwoofer, but I have read that I will not have a subwoofer when playing Pro Logic sources. So, here is my plan: I want to connect the sub a second way also, which will be run through speaker wire. I am using the B speaker outputs for speakers outside, so I would like to avoid using them for the subwoofer and connecting the mains from the sub in a chain is someething I cannot do because of how my room is setup. My question is, can I connect the subwoofer speaker wire into the same outputs as the main fronts are connected to, and will this work OK with also having the sub cable connected too? Thanks! And any advise is appreciated! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  14. Great! Thanks! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
  15. Hi there... Regarding DVD's with DTS ES support, can these DVD's also playback in normal DTS if the receiver/DVD player they are playing through does not support DTS ES but only standard DTS? Thanks! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
