  1. My shelf fell apart and the speaker almost fell on my tv.. Plus it's only 8" deep and the C-7 is 12.5" deep and 46lbs.. My problem is I would have to drill into brick. Didn't have luck when I tride to make a shelf for my giant sub.. I just really don't know how to go about it.. What I have RC-7, RB-5II, RS-3II, home brew dual 15" sub off 800 watt plate amp running off a Marantz SR-6003
  2. So I got my C-7.. Omg I didn't think it was going to be that huge.. It actually to big. I had my C-1 on top of a shelf that is to small and won't support the wieght of the C-7.. Is it going to be ok if the center is off to the right, so bassically off center by a foot? Otherwise I would have to build something, but not sure how because I would have to ancher into brick.. Not sure what to do
  3. After looking at these posts i'm going to have to set up my audyssey dsx.. Mine has both and I'm using the dolby IIz..
  4. One more question.. If I decided to go 7.1 what speaker should I look for to put in the middle? I have a set of Small klipsch surrounds I think they are quintent.. Or would those be to small and or not match up well..
  5. You won't find Marantz in your regular box store. It's worth going to a local deal and then buying something online. I got a great deal on a demo model, good thing to ask when your there. A few other cool fetures that some units like mine have are speach calibration. If a tv station has the speach a tad off, you know when there line stops and there lips keep moving.. The marantz will fix that, also when a comercial is louder than the show it will self level which is nice...
  6. My 2 cents on upconverting.. I bought my Marantz and was not expecting much but the guy who sold it told me I may see an improvment in video quality and he was right. I have a mitt 52" DLP 1080p and it is a noticable difference watching TV and blu Ray.. A good budget Marantz would be the model below which would be the 5003 or 5004. I have had Denon prior 2 others and my Marantz blows all of my Denons out of the water. For the money I think they are the best.. It's a good low budget high end reciver.IMHO It is going to depend on what kind of TV you have..
  7. I can't wait to get it all set up.. Thanks again I have the RS 3II surrounds. And a monster of a sub that was a home brew 2 15" free air kicker subs running off a 800 watt plate amp in a 5ftx2.5ftx1.5ft mdf box covered in black Vanir I made in college.. It shook the entire doorm.. Now it sets off car alarms and shakes my house..
  8. Thanks a ton guys.. This place is cool.. Wish I saw it a while back.. I sent a pm to the guy selling the rb 5 I did find a pair ok 75's on Audiogon but I have yet to get any reply.. I think I might post my KSB 3.1 and matching center up for sale.. Not sure yet If I want to keep them for man town ( my basement project)..
  9. I asume the Rb 5 and Rb 5II are the same..
  10. The reason I was looking for the RB 75 was because on the klipsch web site they pair them together. I have been reading some posts and I am reading they don't match? Is there a match for the C 7 in a bookshelf?
  11. I'll look into the rb 5.. I have been looking for 3 weeks now..
  12. I am new the the Forum so I am sorry If this post is in the wrong thread.. I just upgraded some of my speakers and came across a great deal on a RC-7 center that happens to be brand new never used. I also picked up a pair of RS-7's from the same person.. I currently have an old set of KSB 3.1 with matching center. I have no room for floor standing speakers and I have been search for some RB-75's but have had no luck. Now comes the question. I wanted to know if there was anything similar out maybe the R8 81's that I can buy that would blend well with the C-7? If needed I am running everything off a Marantz 6300.. Thank you for in advance for any help..
