  1. Thanks guys. Have been researching wall-mounts for whatever I decide on and have some ideas. I think it is now time to take your input, make up my mind, sell some beer cans, and make a buy. It may take a little while (lots of drinking to do) but will let you know what I come up with. Will probably have some hook-up questions when I do get something. T.T.
  2. Thanks Youthman. Since RB-35's and RB-5's are not readily available, would RB-81's be an okay choice? With the RC-62 would the 61's be best for fronts and 81's for rears, or 81's in all four corners? I really would like to stick with the wall mounts in the front instead of floors. Actually the fronts are about 3' on each side of the center, not all the way over in the corners. T.T.
  3. I started out thinking Synergy but after reading lots of new and old posts I changed my mind to Reference. I have it narrowed down to RC-62 just above my tv, either RB-51's or RB-61's for fronts and rears, either RS-52's or RB-62's for sides, an RPW-10 sub in front on floor, and all powered by 105w Yamaha RX-V863. The room size is 15' x 25' x 9' high and listening spot is about in middle. I need to wall-mount my fronts on each side of the center at about the same level with each other and slightly above the tv. The rears will be wall-mounted in rear corners up high, and side surrounds on stands at slightly behind the listening spot and on each side of the room. The 51's will be a lot easier and cheaper to mount but not sure if adequate for the room size and medium volume music (R & R). Will be for HT as well but want my music to sound good. Also am thinking the RS-52's may be adequate since closer to the spot. Can anyone verify if the mounting holes in an RS-52 are same distance apart as an RB-51? (In another post jamesV had found a good wall mount that fit the RS-52). Any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you, T.T.
  4. Didn't get a response here on my speaker choices so will post a new thread on that - still considering different models but in the Reference line. Think all the info here on mounts will help no matter what I decide for speakers. Thanks, T.T.
  5. Gee, thanks guys. I have been mulling over some ideas for wall-mounting RB-61's front and back, and a RC-62 in center (above the tv slightly and in line with the RB-61's) and had not found a good solution yet. But all your input has given me some good options. I found a TVM13 PRO on the first mentioned Omni 'commercial' site that looks like it would work, though I don't know the cost yet and will look at other options if it is as costly as it looks. It holds up to 60 lbs so pretty beefy and may work for the center speaker as well. Not sure I want the speakers too far out from the wall but for the back 61's with the 12.5" depth it will allow turning them in the correct direction. Seems to be a lot of versatility though I will look further at some of the other sites mentioned. Am considering RS-62's for sides in future and all would be handled, along with RPW-10 sub, by Yamaha RX-V863. Does this sound workable? Again, thanks for the ideas and any future input on my choices. T.T.
  6. Guess I better weld them on! Thanks, T.T.
  7. Haven't made my mind up yet, but if I go with these speakers I don't think I will trust gravity. I can imagine what gravity might do if they vibrate off the stands or get bumped and fall off. Believe I would make my own holes and use a couple screws to secure them to the stands or something like that. Just not familiar with the products and mounting but you all have helped a bunch. Thanks, T.T.
  8. I was referring to the 1/4"-20 threaded inserts. If not on the backside, would they be provided on the bottom for bolting the speaker to the stand? Or does the speaker attach to the stand another way?
  9. Am I correct in assuming the RB-61 has mounting holes only in the bottom? The spec's don't say but the picture shows the speaker sitting on top of a stand. Thanks, T.T.
  10. Perfect, now I understand. Thank-you, T.T.
  11. Is the RS-42 triangular in shape and have the keyholes and threaded inserts on back? I can't tell from the picture. Also, does the RB-51 have the keyholes and threaded inserts on the back (for some type of wall mounting) or on the bottom? I had prepared mounting blocks in the four corners of my living room, near the ceiling, when I renovated and am looking at all my options for speaker mounting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, T.T.
  12. Thanks for the quick reply guys, I have limited opportunities to get on-line so I cannot respond as often as I would like. I do not have any equipment yet. I think I would like the S-2's in the rear corners of the room because of their higher wattage and could go with the VS-14's for the sides and VF-36's for the fronts, along with a VC-25, if that would work okay. My thinking is the S-2's would kick out more sound/volume than the VS-14's due to the wattage and sensitivity ratings?????? I haven't checked out the WF Icons yet but will. Thanks, T.T.
  13. Am new to Klipsch and this forum, know little about audio, but have a general idea of where I would like to start with a new system. Am considering a Yamaha RX-V863BL 7.2 receiver, S-2's wall mounted in four corners, C-2 above tv on one end wall, and SW-350 on floor at same end wall. Would it work if I set a VF-36 on each side of the tv on that end wall? The room is 15' x 25' x 9' high. I will use the system some for HT, but more importantly to listen to Santana (and other) at medium volume. Also, does anyone have a suggestion as to a swivel mount for the S-2's? I have monster wire ran to each room corner and a reinforced place for mounting to. Any opinions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you, T.T.
