promedia 2.1 idle power same as when turned on?

I leave my promedia 2.1 on at all times, since it is such a hassle to turn it off due to the switch being located in such an inconvenient place. I notice that My amp is hot to touch ALL the time, even when idle. Does this mean that it is drawing constant power? does the amp have some sort of power saving mode?
