  1. Hello, I'm aware of the spec difference between these subs but was wondering in real word terms, how much better the RW-10D is than the RPW-10. I can't imagine the 10D being that much better (I don't care about the digital controls). On a side note, how does the down firing SW-450 compare? I usually prefer the cleaner sound of front firing, but I have heard good things about the SW-450. FYI-This new sub will be replacing my old RSW-12, which has a blown amp (Klipsch can't seem to find me a replacement amp anywhere). I know I'll be losing a lot going from a 12 to a 10 and going from about 500 watts RMS to about 200-260 RMS. However, the system is now in a smaller room. Thanks for any input...
  2. So I recently moved for the 4th time since getting this sub in 2003. This time when I hooked it up, it has given me problems. When I first hooked up my system, everything worked but the sub. No red light....nothing. Then after a couple of days, the red light came on and the sub played once it sensed a signal. However, the output did not seem nearly as strong as it used to be, so I figured I'd move the sub to a better location. After moving it (3 days ago), the red light would not come on (no power). Then yesterday, the red light comes on. But now, even when it senses a signal, the sub will not play (light does not turn green). I then turned off the auto mode so that the sub will just remain on. Once again the sub turned off all together (no red light). I checked the fuse and it appears good. Could it be that the amp is blown? Thanks.
