Hookem

I am a relative rookie in the high end sound arena but I have been lucky in recently updating the speakers in my home stereo to (2) pairs of Chorus II and an academy center speaker. The speakers are excellent but now my Denon 2801 seems to be the weak link. Is there a receiver out there in the $1000 price range that would be better for HT and music. The Denon is good for HT but not music. Thanks
