  1. Thanks everyone for the advice. And the Marantz receiver looks great but there is no way I can afford that right now .. I'm a law student with loan debt who basically has to turn tricks to survive. Around $200 (perhaps slightly more) is really as much as I can part with.
  2. I forgot to mention that one of the main things I am looking for is an HDMI-capable receiver, one that can be used with a PS3 to run high-def sound through those speakers for gaming, PS3 blu-ray viewing, as well as digital cable TV.
  3. I have 2 floor-standing klipsch speakers that must be close to 15-20 years old, along with a subwoofer. I can't figure out which models they are, so I've posted links to photos of them below: http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/BobStrauss69/100_2693.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/BobStrauss69/100_2691.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/BobStrauss69/100_2685.jpg http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/BobStrauss69/100_2687.jpg I also have an old pair of Mitsubishi speakers that I want to use as rears, with an impedence of 6 ohms: DIATONE DS-32BmkII What I'm hoping to find is the best receiver I can find to power these speakers for around $200. Would the Harmon Kardon AVR 247 be a good fit with these speakers? I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions the audiophiles here might have ..
