  1. Hi, I no longer use my promedia 4.1 for the computer and since they are decent speakers I'm using them as for a home theater. I no longer need the amp cababilities of the subwoofer since I'm running through a Onkyo reciever. Is there a way to conver the promedia subwoofer into a normal subwoofer? This would help me clean it up and cut down on cables.
  2. Hi All, I removed the satellite adaptor plug and am just going to run monster cable through the existing adaptor hole and then hook the moster calbe directly to the circuit board inside the spakers. Just want to make sure I don't have to worry about overpower the speakers with my receiver. Does anyone see a reason why this is a bad idea?
  3. Currently I'm using my promedia 4.1 system on my Onkyo 7.1 channel reciever. I was buiding a home theater and haven't saved enough money for good quality home theater speakers so I'm making due with my promedia system. My speakerwire is more than 10 years old and I notice the speakers get crackly and I have to adjust the male piece going into the satellite speakers until is stops crackling. I'd like to change all the speaker cable and use monster cable to go from the receiver to the satelite speaker. I'd like to use bannana plugs into the reciever, however I'm not sure how I sould attach the monster cable to power the satellite speaker. Any suggestions? Also I currently have the sub hook up to the reciever through an adaptor that goes through the sub controlling satellite speaker. This way I can control the amount of bass volume coming out of the sub. Is there a way to make to modify the sub to connect it directly to the reciever and controlling the sub level on the sub itself? This will cut down on wirles trastically.
