  1. Well I can build the flare and such if I had plans. I just don't wanna do it wrong. You know what I've been thinking? I found the la scala plans. I could just build a set of those. That one guy has the woofer for sale.. all I'd have to do is come up with a crossover and the horns right?
  2. Why are they so massive. The components, everything? This next speaker system I'm wanting to build may have some high end drivers...where do I go to learn how to make the crossover?
  3. Yeah, I have a table saw. I just don't understand all the stuff I can't see in that photo. (im lost without plans) I built four of these on Sunday afternoon (with one helper with a pickup truck). Man, you are the speaker project king!
  4. Ok cool, much appreciated.. What would you use for a tweeter?
  5. Ok, I think I'm beginning to understand. The midrange needs a higher "bl" for horn loading. How about this one? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-507
  6. What would make a mid suitable for horn loading if I wanted to do that?
  7. No, I wasn't planning to horn load the mid... advice on a mid and tweeter?
  8. I'd like to build a set of speakers and use a folded horn for the bass. I was thinking of using these drivers for the horn. I've built a set of front loaded horns but I was just going to wing the fold design on this one. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-510 Then I was going to use these for midranges http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-404 tweeters.. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=270-135 For those who know way more than me.... if I'm making a mistake with this, please help me out. I really like the punch of a folded horn. This is going to be for a large room (home theater).
