  1. Thanks. I guess my biggest issue is these: 1. RF-5 Rear surrounds & RS-62s as side surrounds 2. RF-5s Rear surrounds & RF-3's as side surrounds 3. Either of the above leaves me with a pair of non used with no other home. The wife has explicitly said "no big, ugly, heavy, obstacles in the bedroom." 4. So what is better, the RS-62s or RF-3's as side surrounds. 5. Anybody what to buy a pair of RF-3 IIs? LOL
  2. I have a problem. In the head. [^o)] And in my HT setup, I have too many Klipsch speakers now. My system: RF-7 Current Fronts RF-5 Current Rears RF-3 II (Newly acquired from brother) RS-62 II (Newly acquired) RC-7 Current Center RSW-12 Subwoofer Running on a Pioneer Elite SC-27 What should my setup be? Confused. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thank you tragusa3 for the reality check and thank you StephenM for the beginnings of an education I think I'm about to embark upon. With the advise already given I thinking I do not have reason yet after only 5 years to do a full upgrade. I am going to try out the 7.1 system with the new pair of RS-62 II and see if that satisfies me. I bought the Samsung UN55B8500 with my new Pioneer Elite SC-27 last year and I have been in bliss from the change from my old Mitz Diamond Series Rear Projection television and Denon 3801. Now that the 'newness' has subsided a bit I have been eager for another round of 'coolness'. Alas, from what I am hearing I do not think I can get that without making a greater investment in equipment than I am willing at the moment. That leaves me with researching some of the ideas aforementioned from you guys. Thanks a bunch and I am still curious for more opinions and suggestions as nothing is ever set in stone, so to speak!!
  4. In response to the other suggestions of room treatments, amps, crossovers, etc. - CLUELESS I AM. I bought the Klipsch based on what I heard in store and of course loved them. I am not an audiophile who understands most of the technology, etc. that goes into a premier sound system. With that said I wouldn't even know where to start. I just bought the Pioneer Elite SC -27 about a year ago and spent close to $2k on it. I do not think I will be replacing that anytime soon.
  5. Thank you all for the responses. Yes, my only reason to upgrade is that I wanted something new and shiny as it has been put. I guess what I had in mind really was an upgrade to the center channel. I like the RC-64, looks like a real power house beast and with a great deal of sound from movies coming from the center channel I thought I would notice an incredible difference from the RC-7. Would I? Then I was thinking, well, if I upgraded to a newer center channel then I should upgrade the rest as to keep the 'blend' in check. What if I just pruchased the RC-64, would that be advisable? Would I get a noticable change, would that work? I didn't mention in my orginal post that I have already purchased a pair of RS-62 II speakers that I got on a deal I could not refuse. What if I just added these to my system for a 7.1 setup? Would this work ya think? Put those on the sides of the room and move the RF-5s to the back? If there is no real upgrade for the RF-7s besides jumping up the the II series and beyond, how about the using the 7.1 system I just described and replacing the center with the RC-64 II? Worth it? Thanks again and thanks in advance for your advise!
  6. Hey guys- So I am wanting to upgrade my speaker system as they have been with me for about 5-6 years now. My system: RF-7 Fronts RF-5 Rears RC-7 Center RSW-12 Subwoofer Running on a Pioneer Elite SC-27 (Formerly when first bought a Denon 3801) I am thinking about upgrading to: RF-83 or RF-82 II Fronts RS-62 II Rear / Surround RC-64 Center RSW-12 Subwoofer I am keeping Pioneer Elite SC-27 Any advice or problems with these upgrades? Will they blend well? Besides the RF-7 II what would be a great upgrade for my RF-7s? Honestly I just do not want to spend the money on the RF-7 II as I cannot justify $3k for speakers to replace the RF-7s I currently have and love. Are the RF-83 and RF-82 II upgrades for my RF-7s? Any help / advice is appreciated, even if you tell me to just keep what I have! Thanks.
