  1. First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide me such an elaborate solution. And, I must apologize for taking such a long time to reply. I have been on a three month sabbatical and wasn't in a position to post a reply earlier. Ok, I don't have much electronics experience but being as desperate as I am for these headphones to work, I went ahead and tried to do everything you mentioned. I am not sure if I did clean them properly. I used WD40 with a cotton bud and just went over every contact I could make out. It didn't appear to be covered in any crud or anything. Anyway having cleaned everything up, I reassembled and still no joy! Microphone doesn't work. Maybe a loose contact? Good news is after opening it up, everything is working just as it was before I did, so I am confident that I should be able to do it again. Any idea which contact the microphone utilizes? Maybe I could check to see that it is properly connected. Any other advise would be highly welcome. Thanks again for your input bwbike!
  2. I live in Kuwait and had a friend pick up my S4i headphones from Dubai (UAE). Everything worked fine out of the box including the remote control and volume and mic. I have been using the headphones while I run and I fear the mic has been exposed to my profuse sweating and has not been working since around a month now. We do not have a service centre here and would like to know if there is anything I can do to fix this issue. I would appreciate any advice on this matter. TIA.
