  1. Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a run when a get some time over the holiday weekend to play with it.
  2. Just to wrap up this subject... I bought a local set of RF5s to put up front and moved my F2s to the rear. I still have the Phase Tech Teatro 6.5 for the center. It needs a +10db boost to match volume with the RF5s. :-) Just a bit less efficient!
  3. RF62's were awesome. After reviewing them, listening to some of my stuff on there and chatting a bit, we packaged them up and I asked him to count the cash before they leave the house. Then he springs 'oh, I'm sorry, they are 275 each'. Really? The craigslist ad was very clear. I walked away disappointed, but not surprised, I guess. He then calls me on my way home and apologizes. He found his ad and realized he had screwed up. But didn't offer me anything. Just sorry. Drat. That would have been awesome.
  4. The center is pretty solid, Phase Tech Teatro 6.5. The Teatros were pretty solid at the time. One active, one passive 5.5" drivers. (Purchased in 2001 I believe). The Onkyo is TX-SR600 from a similar vintage. Maybe a year or two newer. I don't think it has pre-outs for anything other than the sub. Though there is an optical out. Showing my noob-ness... Would an optical out make any sense to a dedicated amp, as it would need to do the decoding anyway. I'm certainly open to ideas! And thanks for the thumbs up on the 62s with the F2s in the rear.
  5. A friend had a set of four RF3-II's for front and rears and it was amazing. I dipped my toe into the Klipsch pool a couple years ago when Circuit City was closing out their stores. I picked up a pair of F2's for like $200. These replaced smaller fronts. I'm much more of a video guy, but do appreciate the better sound. I'm not very refined. Lots of home theater, lots of music as well. From Louis Prima to Norah Jones to Disturbed and Slipknot. [] I have a decent, Def Tech sub (and a JBL with a dead amp in the closet). I'm driving things with a lower end Onkyo. My rears are completely lacking. They are decent in ceiling speakers, but very lacking. Craigslist in my area turned up a pair of RF62s for $275. Purchased in 2007 and supposedly in great shape with the original boxes for transport, etc. For someone like me (not audiophile, but crazy enough for a 61" plasma 4+ years ago), would putting the RF62s up front and F2s in the back make sense? Keeping the sub for additional punch? Thanks in advance for the feedback!
