  1. I am having problems with my promedia V2.1. After rearranging my desk and reconnecting the speakers, I am now having trouble with the left channel. I'm hoping that someone can help diagnose the problem Symptom: With computer off, the left channel started making loud poping noises; kinda like the noise that can be picked up by running your finger under a record player needle. Shortly after, the left channel stopped working. No popping noises; no sound; nothing. I get sound from the right channel and the subwoofer. Tests: 1) Plugged headphones into the headphone jack on the pod; have sound in both channels. 2) verified the DIN connection; all pins are straight, no apparent damage. 3) "wiggle" tested DIN connection; no response from left channel 4) swapped speaker leads; both speakers work off of the right channel. 5) removed the rear plate from subwoofer and checked both fuses; the multi-meter showed continuity across both fuses 6) unplugged the DIN cable from pod and checked continuity of entire cable; using a multimeter, each DIN pin and the outer shield showed continuity and with same reading. 7) a quick inspection of the visible portions of the circuit boards in both the subwoofer and pod showed no signs of burning, burn marks, or oder. Any thoughts if this is a 1) cable issue 2) pod issue or 3) other issue? Any help would be appreciated.
