Finding an RC-3 or RC-3 II is the problem. I have been able to locate an RC-35, So essentially it is simply which will match my setup better? If the match is essentially the same it comes down to is the RC-62 worth the extra money? If that is a toss up then the RC-62 gets the edge, just in case I ever do upgrade. Matching the RC-62 to a future system should prove to be easier.
So I guess I will start with, in peoples opinion which is the better match to my RF-3 II ?????? Ignore all other factors.
On a side note has anyone ever simply changed the tweeter to help with the tone? It seams that a replacement tweeter from Klipsh is relatively cheap. Could a person purchase an K-124 (used in the RF-3) and put it in an RC-35 to help the three match? or is most of the matching timbre issues from the drivers? Is this idea Crazy? Or to try the other purchase two K-137's and put them in my RF-3's. I am sure this is a big No No. But I am trying to think outside the box. I would obviously have to do some research and see how much these two tweeters differed.
