Looks like you could buy a new La Scala 2 direct from Klipsch for $500 less. I'd go with a new one before spending $3500.

Lots of great information. My amplifier is pretty versatile. I could go 6.1 I think. Will have to break out the manual. I didn't realize the La Scala was effective against a wall as well as in a corner. That's good to know. I'll do a center front rear as my room is kind of long at 26' and in the meantime I'll search for another La Scala to go 7.1. You find these things in crazy places. One pair I have came out of a church of all places. I'm going to check into SPUDS. I'm handy enough and poor enough to try anything! Sounds like folks here are happy with them. I could make a pair out of oak to match my Klipschorns and tuck them behind them. Anyone out there have SPUD plans?

How would you go about building SPUDS behind the Khorns (assume you mean Klischorns), which I'm using as my mains? What is used as a source, is the signal to the Klipschorns split? Also someone asked about ceiling height, which is a 9'2" suspended ceiling (seems I'm always running wires or playing).

Also...... I thought the La Scala was designed to be a corner speaker, the Belle a center? Does an enclosure or something need to be built around it to make it work well as a center?

Can you help me with notion of DIY SPUDS? I'm no stranger to danger when it comes to DIY. I'm no Rockefeller, I built my house. Are there plans out there to build a sub to complement the Khorns?

Newbie here... Putting together a room for home theater and musical enjoyment. It measures approximately 26x19. Amplifier is a B&K AVR 307 along with 2 Klipschorns and 4 La Scalas. Any suggestions on a compatible center channel? I see the Belle is no longer available. Also looking sub suggestions. I'm thinking 12 inch, given the room size. I like to listen to music as well as home theater.
