No issue that I know of. The interest is in any changes, such as those that occurred in the K33 and perhaps many drivers over the years, Klipsch or not. I just wanted to know if there were any significant changes and if so, could it be determined by the serial numbers. Any information regarding the original posts contents are welcomed.

Does a driver like this require break in ? If so, how long before the suspension softens up? Has anyone here used sines in free air to break these drivers in?

Does Klipsch add 25% of the gap height for their Xmax spec? Most companies do, Faital adds 30% , while BMS doesn't add anything.

Were there any changes to the K43e over the years? I know of the K33 going through changes, but what about the K43e? Also, any info to the serial # marked on the basket would be nice as well.

With the serial # on K43E: 67 8521 How can one tell the date of manufacture for these drivers? I see 8521, and think of 1985, if that is correct, what is the 21? Has the K43E gone through any changes over the years and if so, what? Any links for verified T/S measurements for the K43E anywhere here would nice.

I am only interested in the bass horn PEQ settings. What if the bass horn has the brace and stronger walls, are there different settings from Roy for this as well? Is there a frequency response plot on here that shows the difference with thicker side walls, braces and the response?

Where is the link to Roy's EQ settings for the LaScala bass horn if they are not used with the passive network? Does bracing change these settings?

Seems that some have changed their horn and horn driver combo for these. Some have even gone to old Altec Multicells. Anyone here use a K55m (or V) on the Altec 803 or 805 for the midrange 350Hz up to ~ 5Khz? Anyone try a GPA390 with the above horns? Do the above multicells have directional issues (polar plot fingers) in the bandpass ? I would like to read some feedback on those combo's. Perhaps a description of the difference (pros/cons) with the Multicells vs K400 or other mid horns. They seem to have a following, but I have never heard them. Phenton
