Thanks for the input! Have you ever heard a XW-300D? What is the difference between a Sub-12 and a Sub-12HG? Is the HG an older model?

I need help picking a sub! Sub12 or XW-300D I am going to order a sub today to match up to my XB-10 and XL-23 FCR speakers. I cannot decide which one to get. I can get either one for 299 shipped. I am looking for more sound quality. Which one has a better quality sound? With the XW-300D only being an 8" will it have enough low end to listen to music?

I am about to order some new front speakers for my home theater system. I am looking at the XL-12’s and the XL-23’s I am defiantly going with the 23 or the center channel but I am undecided for the left and right speakers. Currently van’s has a pretty good deal going on. I can get the XL-12’s for $140 each and the XL-23’s for $230 each. I just purchase a Denon AVR-2310 Reciever to power the new speakers. Here are my questions? Are the 23’s going to sound that much better and are they worth the extra $180 for the pair? Does the Denon have enough power to run the 23’s? I think it puts out 105 w/per channel. What is the difference between the XB-10’s and the XL-12’s. They have basically the same specs but the 12’s are a couple of inches higher. From looking at some pictures it looks like you cannot set the 12’s vertically on a flat surface. Do the 12's come with some kind of stand so you can set then on a flat surface? Thanks Greg
