I got me some of those Comply Foam tips based on your review and I am glad I did. The S4 never felt comfortable in my ears. I was already planning to put them on ebay, but these Comply foam tips make a big difference. I no longer feel the S4, it seems like these foam tips adjust better to my ears. I now get the bass I was missing with the original gel tips. Thanks again for the "tip" ;-)

Thanks all. Most of the time you can read about too high volume damaging the ear. I started to wonder about physically damaging your ear drums because you need to insert these in-ears in your ear to "get a good seal". If I do not insert my S4s the sound is rubbish, it is only when you get the good seal (and push the S4s deeper in your ear) that the sound is great. That's why I started to wonder can you push "too far"...

I'm wondering can you insert your in-ear phones so deep in your ear that they can actually 'touch' your ear drums or is this physically not possible?
