  1. After hours and hours and days and days of research, i finally decided on a set of speakers and bought the RF7 IIs. They arrived today, and even though my receiver is coming on monday, i couldn't help but play them on my low budget 30 w/channel jank amp. In a nutshell, they are the most beautiful speakers i've ever heard. Highly detailed, dynamic, enveloping, lifelike, surreal, akin to a religious experience, ect. I've tried numerous other speakers, including a more expensive set of B and W's my friend owns, and without question, the Klipsch has a superior sound, to my ears at least. I was very worried about purchasing the Klipsch as it's a "love it or hate it" sound, but honestly, they are more or less perfect. It's mind boggling how so many people strongly dislike the sound. Not to mention they look like pure art. I officially have lost respect to anyone who has bad things to say about the klipsch sound. Their ears are bad. They must be from the stone age. They must have been dropped as a child. This is audio perfection. Now signing off to go listen to mass quantities of radiohead. The end.
  2. Well i'd like my tv and ps3 to be able to play sound through my speakers too, and stereo receivers don't have hdmi to do this. I have a ps3 for my blu ray player.
  3. At this point i plan on just having a stereo setup, no surround sound or center channel in the foreseeable future, as well as no subwoofer. My room is roughly 22 x 10. The pioneer vsx1120k receiever i can find for pretty cheap, has pre outs. Would the combo of that and the xpa2 be far superior than something like the pioneer elite sc-35? I know the sc-35 has an "ICE" amp in it, which is class D, as opposed to the emotiva's class A? I guess basically i want the best bang for the buck.
  4. Hey everyone I just picked up a set of RF7 IIs for a smokin price, and i can't wait to get these babies into action. I'll be using them for just stereo for music/movies. Long story short, i've done a lot of research on what to power them with and i've come down to getting a pioneer elite sc-35 receiver, or going the separate route and getting The emotiva UMC-1 + XPA2 combo. The pioneer receiver method would be slightly cheaper, as well as simpler, but will the overall sound quality be that much superior with the emotiva combo? Also, another thing of concern is that i have a 3D tv, and the pioneer receiver has 3d while the emotiva umc-1 does not. In a nutshell, does this mean i can't get the emotiva combo? And while i've done my research, i'm still pretty new to home audio, so excuse any of my ignorance.
