  1. Hello Thank You for the answer ! It's a kit, we have a magazine which is full of audio kits, i've heard the amp play this weekend, the speakers builder (which is also a kit), has stated that the dips can arrive at 3 ohms in the bass section, they are 4 ohm speakers. I don't have the data of the amp with me right now, i will post it this evening ( i'm in italy ) whan i get back from work Thank You
  2. Hello ! I was wondering if i can use a tube amp with my rf-63's, saturday i went to a Hi end fair and i've heard a lot of interesting stuff playing, but in particular i've heard a wonderful Tube amp which is also available as a kit. I plan to buil this thing which has really a spectacular sound, the speakers which it was attached to in some way "resembled" my klipsch's ( altought they're really not the same. I've searched a lot but i'm unable to find the impedance module graph of my speakers anywhere, can someone help me about this, and if anyone has raccomendations about tube amps and rf'63's please let me know. The amp is based on KT120's and has 50 + 50 w power which for my room really enogh. Any suggestion is really welcome. Thank You !
  3. Hello ! So Finally my 1560 is back [] And how ! ... Wow.. if any of you got the chanche to put your hands on it give it a try [] The Best word do describe the first impression about the sound i had is as you said Authority. Everything is more cristal clear, more definition of the stage, and a really more dense sound, the dynamics are outrageous far way beyond what i did expec. Voices now are really a lot better also horns flutes and winds in general, but the real roar of this amp is on the bass side never flabby and never loose and also with good power reserve for high transitions. On a normal musical journey my playing stays around 90 db in the weekend when i have more time sometimes i pull up to 98 ( damn that's loud []) with the old amp kranking it up to the higher levels introduces real hardness in the sound, with this one nothing changes and the sound is really juicy. Give a try to any of Mahlers symphonies ( like n°3 first movement ) if you wanna hear really big bangs Cheers !
  4. Hello Pite, I've practically moved everything around in my room ( my poor back isn't that happy but my ears are []) to achieve optimal performance from my Speakers, and after checking distances from walls etc, i've made a sign were they need to be, the new position improved a lot the sound in general but the soundstage had a Huge step forward. Actually as you know i'm missing my amp but i'm sure that when it comes back the work i've done will be certainly handy. my actual Setup is this: - Super hi silent PC with coax output using wasapi drivers, up and down sample to 96/24 - foobar 2000 - Cambridge audio Dac Magic - Denon PMA 320 - Klipsch RF 63 - Sony CD player ( super old ,but mechanically ok, no noise, nothing strange, just old dac's ) connected in optical I'm really happy and i can't wait that my amp comes back, but i think it will still take a while. With this actual configuration i'm capable of reaching 110-114 Db peak level at 2,5 Meters away form speakers without hearing any harshness, or distortions, its just that my little amp sometimes doesn't have enough power reserve to handle high transients like the ones that existes in classical music. Thank You [] Brogh
  5. Hi ! Thank you for the answers Willand and Pite ! [Y] whith the last post, you unlocked my doubts, in fact the thing that scared me was really what you exactly said. Yes The PMA-1560 is a monster in power, and the biwiring thing was an option which i was looking for but i was not sure to do it. I think i will not go forward with this, just to idea to harm my speakears equipment doesn't sound good to me, so i will use them in the normal way, altough i really have not a big room for them. Thanks to both for the suggestions ! Have a nice weekend !! Man these speakers Rock ! Brogh
  6. Hi Thank You for the answer ! Sorry for my bad english !, i thought it was in some way clear []. With "my Babies" i'm refeering to my RF-63 Speakers, at the moment i have no little kids so i can bunch up to 108 db peak in my room, there is no subs or anything else involved in my stereo, in fact it's a 2.0 system. The question was about the crossover frequency of those speakers, the manual states that the crossing section is at 1700 hz for the RF63, the thing not clear to me is .. above 1700 hertz, is there only the horn playing, or is also the first top woofer involved in this ? I know that driving three woofers needs a lot more energy than a tweeter, that was the point of the queistion, the denon 1560 is a big power amp. The RF63 allows biwiring, bi-amping, what i was intended to do is, as the amps allows to use two different set of speakers with it's A/B selector, you can use both of them at the same time, what i was thinking about is using the A to drive the high frequencies and B to drive the lower ones, just to gain more "clarity" thing for which the bi-wirin bi-amping is made for. But i'm not sure about this, as you correcly said, driving a tweeter needs less energy, so i'm scared in doing this "bi-wiring" ( as it is not a real bi-wiring) thing, i don't want to blow up anything, or harm any component, with this amp i'm afraid about something bad can happen, so i've asked here where a lot of people knows how to " do it right ". Thank You for the good luck if it sounds like i've heard for a short time before it blew up, when it comes back from repair, i think i will have some problems with my neighbourghs love this amp, it has a really warm sound and so much power that i think it can drive musically any kind of speakers. If anyone has the chanche to give it a try.... give it, but don't forget it's a 90's amp, hard to find, but when you fire it up your ears will be certainly happy. Thank You Again Cheers Brogh
  7. Hi - Roger Waters 92's Amused to death Incredible album really well recorded and with high dynamic impact, it also has Q-sound system in it which will make some sounds circle around your head if you are searching tunes with super bass i would also take in consideration : Nelly furtado - let my hair down Madonna - hung up Britney - piece of me ( which also has a nice voice doubling effect on the chorus ) Give a try to it ! Cheers
  8. Hello ! I was searching info's on the RF-63 crossover layout, i'm not searching for detailed info about components in it, i just want to know where the 1700 hz cut happens, I Imagine that the horn, and the first upper speaker act as a tweeter/midrange unit and the other two are responsible for bass and midbass frequencies, am I correct ? I was wondering about using biwirng for my babies, really soon my denon 1560 will be back and i was thinking of biwiring... if the layout of the Crossover is as i imagine it makes some sense, but if the crossover has a different approach, like if the HF connector on the back of the speakers, drives only the horn i don't know if it would be a good idea connecting this monster amp, i'm scared about harming in some way the speakers. What i want to do i use the A/B connection of the denon to do this. Do you think it is a good idea ? does anyone have any kind of suggestions about it ? Thank You! Brogh
  9. Hello, i've let this post a little time on a side, as i've moved things back and forth in my room to get the optimal positioning. I'm still missing my amp ( denon 1560 ) as it's stil at the repair center but, i will have it back really soon. So, at the moment i've found out that : - moving my listening position a little forward from where it was - getting the speakers less far away from each other - toing the speakers a little bit more in - bringing the speakers more away from the wall Has solved many of the described " issues ", i've got the chanche to meet an audio technichian which gave me some good advices about it, and at the moment the thing has worked out fine. I know i can improve it more, in fact this weekend i will have a friend which will led me a hand to do the fine tuning. Thank You for all the suggestions ! have a good day ! Brogh
  10. Hello ! thank you for the answers I've uploaded this quick picture i've made unfortunately i have no camera so i cant take pics and with the phone i'ts too dark, Link Conversions & measures room size 467 cm = 183.9 in - 420 cm = 165.4 in Speakers position Back of speaker 33cm =13 in away from rear wall Front center of speaker 33.5 cm = 13.2 in away from side wall Front center of speaker 87 cm = 34.3 in in away from back wall Listener position is 260 cm = 102.4 in from the center point between the two speakers axis The distance from center of the Speakers is 260 cm = 102.4 in Actually the system is driven by a denon pma 1560 integrated amp, and an old sony cd player which i'm about to change really really soon [] The angle of the speakers is almost right in the picture There is nothing behind the speakers Thank you for giving your advice ! Have a nice day, i'm about to have a nice night [] Cheers Brogh
  11. Hello Boy's and Girls, my first post here I'm the really really happy owner of a pair of klipsch RF63 I have some problems with correct placement.... I've started out with the placement that is draw in the manual, but i' was absolutely not happy with it, I've noticed that on many pics posted on the internet many people place them perpendicular to the rear wall, that didn't work out for me there was a kind of loosing focus with this configuration, but i've started from there.... Actually my placement is (the center of the speakers forward) 87 cm (33.5 in) form the rear wall, and 65 cm (25.6 in) from the side wall, the speakers are turnet to the center with a really low angle, something like 15/20 degrees. Ii'm almost "satisfied" with it, but i've noticed some little ( don't know how to exactly explain that ) sort of grammophone effect especcially with female voices, other than that the bass wich runs really deep, have a sort of tail, i listen almost to jazz/fusion and classical music, when big shots of bass drum, not timpani's, are executed in full orchestral executions, they should sound like BAMM, but here it sounds like BAAMmmm. Does any of you klipsch enthusiast have some suggestions on it ? For the rest these speakers are absolutely awesome, best i've ever had till now, i think i will keep in the klipsch family also for my future Cheers ! Brogh
