  1. That's exactly what I wanted to know! Thanks.
  2. Thank you all for your responses.
  3. I know this has been discussed in the past but I'd like to get some more recent opinion about purchasing an RC-62 ii vs. RC-52 ii. I have a pair of RF-62 iis which I love. At the moment I am using a Synergy c3 as my center but it sounds muddy. All three are connected a Denon 1611 receiver. I had a chat with my local Klipsch dealer who says the RC-52 ii would probably give me 10-15% improvement in sound over my current C3. However, the RC-62ii would be a 100% improvement. For those who have had experience with these 3 centers, what do you guys think? The 52 I smaller and cheaper, which is of course appealing to me. Will the 62 give me so much improvement in sound quality that I should go for it and not the 52? P.S. My main listening location is about 3m from the left and right speakers.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions guys .. I have set the center to small with crossover at 80Hz .. the C3 is growing on me, its definitely a step up from what I had before .. Jason you referred to "all channel stereo" in your previous post .. Just by luck today I noticed a considerable amount of hiss from all three of my speakers when I crank up (90db) the volume on my Denon 1611 and set it to Multi Channel Stereo (I hear the hiss when nothing is playing) ... the hiss is noticeable only when I switch over to my Apple TV 2 (connected through HDMI) .. If I change the AVR to Stereo mode the hiss lessens by an order of magnitude and almost disappears when I change it to Direct mode ... almost no hiss is heard at the same volume level when I switch to my Sony blu-ray player and I switch the AVR to Multi Channel Stereo mode .. there were some posts referring to hiss when AVRs use DSP, I guess the Multi Channel Stereo mode is considered DSP? Have any of you experienced something similar?
  5. What crossover value did you set the c3 to?
  6. I finally received and installed the C3 - They sound good overall. They specially fill in the mid range when listening to stereo music. I have on question though: After running Audyssey on my Denon AVR-1611 it chose "small" for the size of my C3 and set the crossover to 60Hz. What do you think of these settings? According to Klipsch's website the frequency response of the C3 is 73Hz - 23kHz +/-3dB. For your information I do not have rear speakers nor do I have a sub.
  7. Thanks but an RC-62 for $130? They seem to be selling for at least double that price on e-bay. My local agent sells new ones for around $550 (new of course) ... Unfortunately I will not be able to return the C3 once purchased!
  8. I have come across a used Synergy C3 for around $130 - do you think it would be a good purcahse to pair with a set of RF62- IIs?
  9. I recently auditioned both the RF-52 II and RF-62 II and decided on buying the 62s .. soundstage appeared much more open when comparing the two in the showroom .. I felt the additional expense was justifiable .. My 62s will be delivered tomorrow!
  10. Thanks for the replies - I just place an order for a pair of RF-62 II, along with a couple of meters of Van den Hul CLEARWATER cables. Should be delivered on Monday. Question 1: I'm not able to figure out if they will be supplied with metal spikes - the dealer says yes but I have a feeling they are an optional purchase and when I unpack them I wont find any spikes. Question 2: The cables I am purchasing will be supplied with naked ends (no connectors). Any benefit in using connectors?
  11. Hi All, New to the forum. I just came back from my local Klipsch dealer and had a look at their RF-52 II and RF-62 II. The RF-62 II's sound stage seemed wider (I listened in stereo). My living room measures about 4.5m by 7m. I am also planning on purchasing a center (RC-52 II or the RC-62 II). I plan to use the speakers mainly for listening to music (through my AppleTV) and watching TV, and at times sometimes movies - would appreciate any thoughts on the following: 0. In terms of sound quality/reproduction, any major difference between RF-52 II and RF-62 II? 1. Would the 62's would be an overkill given the size of my living room? 2. I plan to use my HK AVR-132 for the time being (30W/ch). Would it have enough power to drive the RF-52 II or RF-62 II optimally? 3. I have a JBL sub (part of JBL SCS 140) - should I ditch it and just rely on the bass form the RF-52/62 IIs?
