hi ive just installed a new set of klipsch quintet IV speakers, a 350 sub and an onkyo 577 receiver. i used the audessy tuning, and set the listening modes to dts and direct (tried both). im playing 1080 dts mkv files from my htpc via hdmi to the amp sorry but im a total novice and any setup help would be appreciated 1) the centre speaker seems alot quiter than the surrounds, all the voices seem to be quiet - the left/center/right wer set at -6 db/-7/-6 and i set the centre to -3 which seemed to increase the centre - whats the best idea to make spoken word easier to hear, i dont want to turn the vol up and down all the time, eg turn down during avtion, up during quiet scenes 2) alot of the time, esp spoken word it sounds like its in a hall, a little echoey, muffled, i thought the speech would be clearer thanks kenny

hi would you recommend the onkyo 507/577 or denon 1610 for klipsch quintet IV speakers (7.1 or 5.1 not a worry for me) im using this for HT pretty much 99% ive read i need warm amp for the quintets -are these both considered warm? is 75 watts denon to 80 watts onkyo a big difference? whats it mean to me? thanks

great thanks everyone im looking at the onkyo 577 or 507 (read good reviews and found some at v good prices), quintet IV and klipsch 350 sub now - how would this compare to the HK HTIAB? the onkyo 507, 577 ok? (im not too interested in the 508 for 3d)

Hi I just bought a set of Quintet IV speakers and now looking for an amp/receiver 1) what do people recommend? im using them to play movies off my htpc, im only looking for 5.1 (not looking to expand to 7.1 ever) and looking to do it on a budget - ive heard i need a "warm" receiver 2) i also looked at the http://www.digitalcentre.com.au/p/595451/harmon-kardon-hs350bqhtfs2bq-51-channel-intergrated-home-theatre.html theres quite a few HK home theatre systems inclu amp and sub - what do people think of them compared to a quintet IV, 350 sub and onkyo setup? 3) where can i get the 350 sub in australia? whats a decent price? sorry about all the questions, im a newbie to all of this any help is appreciated
