  1. Ok guys, I just got a bag of 0000 steel wool and 32oz of oil soap. Ready to go! Thanks a lot everybody!
  2. So I just found my right side KG 3.2 speaker sounds boomy and has no highs. I thought that's the 15+ year-old speaker wires, so I switched the left/right channels but with no luck. HOWEVER, when I put the banana plug into the binding post, the tweeter somehow worked for like 5 seconds and then again, boomy sound. I changed a contacting point on the binding post, then, about 5 seconds of clear sound, and then back to boomy sound. I already have some new 12AWG wire and banana plugs on order, but what seems to be the real problem? Do I need to replace the right tweeter? Thanks a lot, TP
  3. @ Ironsave so for the sanding job, do I need any electric tools i.e. an orbit sander or I should use my hands?
  4. WOW, thanks a lot for the quick responses! I will definitely try sanding and re-gluing. Maybe I'll do it this weekend thou. Just found another problem with my KG 3.2, I just can't catch a break[:#]
  5. Hi all, I am totally new to the forum so greetings first! I acquired a pair of 1988 Chorus Is on local CL for $400, the seller has no idea what exactly there speakers are since he listed "model CHR OO" instead of "Chorus". While remain astonished by the acoustic performance, there's something cosmetic that bothers me. On top of one of the speakers, there is black water stains/molds, and on the corner, the MDF swelled and sticks out. The seller told me that was caused by the dripping water in the basement:( I know MDF doesn't go along with water, any idea I could do to make it look better? Thanks a bunch!
