  1. Yeah I know it makes absolutely no sense. Read my last post though, I "fixed" it by doing a system restore. No telling what the hell caused it though, looked at all the sound settings on my pc and it all looks the same. VERY strange, but this is a Vista machine and we all know how good of a job Microsoft did on that... This same damn laptop last week decided to stop acknowledging a certain type of HDMI cable, you heard that right. I use a regular hdmi going to a hd lcd monitor always, sometimes I hook it up to my tv using the hdmi cable from my ps3. I Unplug the fancier cable from my PS3 and plug it into my laptop all the time. no problem, well the cable goes out one day, doesn't work on anything. So I try the cable (same exact type of cable) from my receiver box and still nothing, it works with my PS3 but not my laptop, doesn't detect shit. So after hours of messing with it and googling, I try the regular type hdmi cable from my hd monitor and whala! Connecs to the TV as usual. So basically because a cable shorted out while connected to my pc, the pc will no longer accept that same brand gold plated hdmi cable. ******* WTF??!! lol Anyway enough rambling, still the problem exists with the TV, very very little bass when connected through the 3.5mm jack. But as I said earlier, maybe it has always been like thatand never noticed. When connected to the TV the I am unable to access any audio options, a message pops up stating so while connected through the HPJ. So kinda limited there. thanks for bearing through my BS [:S]
  2. Well got the problem fixed, not figured out though...Called Klipsch tech support and the guy was very helpful and sympathetic and reaffirmed what my gut feeling was. Something got fucked around on my computer somehow. Did a system restore to 2 days ago and I get perfect bass like it used to. Still doesn't work on my TV, but maybe it never did from day 1 and I didn't notice. Still get some bass, must be something wrong with the TV output.
  3. Hi, I got a Promedia 2.1 system as a Christmas gift 6 months ago. I use it on my Vista laptop and my LG LED HDTV. I have used it out of the box with no problems and is a very great sounding system. At some point today that changed.. I noticed immediately playing on my computer (after playing fine earlier today) that there was no bass coming from the subwoofer, but sounds fine through the left and right speakers. I then plugged it into my tv and tried to play a song with some bass but still nothing from the subwoofer. Perplexed as to why it would blow out after 6 months, I never cranked the bass past half way, I plugged it into my iPod. And what do you know, perfect sounding bass that I am used too. Recap, all of a sudden my Promedia 2.1 sub stops working on laptop and TV, after 6 months, but works fine on iPod. No settings were changed on my laptop or my TV, by me at least. WTF could be going on? I checked my sound settings under control panel and the limited options gave me no help in solving this. I've spent almost 2 hours searching online but can't find anything resembling my problem. Thanks for reading, and for any help in advance MS
