  1. After months of having my setup, i came across a thread on AVforums which had detailed steps on how MCACC should be run and BOOOOOM! - the SW-310 came to life FINALLY. Placement and correct setup are the most vital things when setting up subs. Couldnt be happier.[].....For all those interested, kindly open the below link and follow the steps. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1112470&page=3 READ THE POST BY gamelover360
  2. Hi everyone, Am a proud and pretty satisfied owner of a Klipsch RF-82ii home theatre system with SW-310 sub and pioneer 1020-k reciever. My problem is this. I would like to be able to play music off my iPod (USB/iPod) while lets say watching a football match on cable tv (TV/SAT) input. All my video/audio sources connected with composite cables. I have an ipod, cable tv, digital satellite tv as my sources. Kindly help.
  3. Hi afasoulis , My situation is similar to yours.I live in the eastern part of africa and there is only 1 klipsch dealer here.I was one day passing by his store and sampled them and was blown away,so i went ahead and got myself RF-82ii,RC-62ii and RS-62ii's with a SW-310 and Pioneer 1020-k reciever. The issue i faced was inorder to be able to hear anything coming from the speakers i had to turn the volume up to -15 atleast. They sound amazing but i've decided to get myself a more powerful future reciever, and after months of research, reading reviews, watching clips on youtube(LoL) and following this forum,i have settled for the Pioneer LX55 and plan on odering for it tomorrow from abroad. All the best.
  4. Around 2 months ago i bought myself the Klipsch SW-310 sub to add on to my existing system which include Klipsch RF-82ii and RC-62ii. I was/am still amazed how sweet these speakers sound so i assumed that getting myself that sub would be the wisest thing to do. After hooking everything onto my reciever (Pioneer 1020-k), and running all the calibration and stuff, i found the punch to be very low and even when i turned it close to 100% there was much of a difference so that has left me wondering if my reciever is unable to provide it with adequate power or is this sub simply too over-rated.But i give it top marks for looks.[]
  5. Hi everyone, I recently purchased RF-82 ii and RC-62ii with Klipsch SW-310 and hoping to get the RS-62 ii sometime very soon. A couple of days ago i got a great deal on the Pioneer VSX-1020-K. So i connected everything with the front 2 bi-amped and run the MCACC. The problem i have is that the minimum volume on the reciever is -80 so inorder for me to hear the slightest bit of sounds, i have to turn the volume up to atleast -12 to hear the slightest sounds. I have tried it all and cant seem to understand the problem. Thanks inadvance.
  6. Thanks alot..I really appreciate!
  7. Thank again Txevo8. I have been exchanging emails with a lady Called sarah from emotiva who also suggested that I should Contact freight forwarders but I don't know where to start, So kindly help me out. Am in Dar-es-Salaam , Tanzania (next to kenya) which is In East africa. Apparently the reason the freight is so high is because The package is over 70 lbs so fed ex use international Priority.
  8. Thanks TxEvo8 but the other problem i have is that Emotiva sent me a quotation of $699 from XPA-3 but a ridiculous $800 for freight. So i guess the dilemma continues!
  9. Thanks cornfedksboy for the recommendation. Heard lots of good things about the Marantz too. Initially when i started my research regarding which reciever to get, i immediately fell for the Onkyo but upon reading so many reviews about its over-heating issues and HDMI board issues,i quickly crossed it out. Has this been rectified in the TX-nr709?
  10. Thanks alot for the reply. Actually yesterday i went on the emotiva webite yesterday and noticed that they had a couple of items on sale and then i went ahead and requested for an international shipping quote for the XPA-3 which goes for $699 but the freight charges they sent me were abit ridiculous so i had to part with that idea, but after reading so many good reviews on the emotiva amps, i know strongly believe that they should be part of my setup though the reciever still proves to be a hard one to decide on.
  11. Hi everyone, This is my first time posting in this forum though i have been reading almost each and every post for the past couple of months and i must admit that i have learnt so much from here. After being undecided for long on which HT to choose, i decided to go with klipsch and since we have a local dealer i felt it was the best choice. After being torn for sometime between the RF-7ii and RF-82ii i eventually went ahead and bought the RF-82 ii which were within my budget range. So i have it complete with the RC-62 ii and RS-52 ii. The sub's will be arriving in a couple of days. The problem i have is that i live in the eastern part of Africa and the local dealer doesnt have any recievers for demo purposing so am forced to decide for myself the most ideal reciever to go with these so as i can order it through my friend who is abroad to come with it next month when he gets back. Apart from all the clips i've checked on youtube, cant say for sure which particular models will go best with my setup. Though am leaning towards the Denon and Pioneer. My budget for the reciever shouldnt go beyond $2,000. Please kindly assist me on this. Thanks.
