Unfortunately local deals are rare. As long as you use PayPal (never friends and family) You’re covered. Paying any way other than cash or PayPal you’re asking to get taken advantage of. Scammers won’t use PayPal because they protect you.

That is a good buy. The La Scalas could benefit from new grills, but that just my preference.
I thought so. The amp alone is worth around the asking price. You could probably sell the electronics and end up with a free pair of La scalas

Whole package seems pretty reasonable. No affiliation. I’d check it out if I wasn’t on the opposite side of the country.

They’re not allowed to advertise that cheap. I read of multiple guys online that picked them up and they were RF7III’s.

Fry’s has what’s reported as the Klipsch RF7III’s for $1079 each. Currently free shipping but they tend to take that away once they sell enough.

I came here to post this. Nowhere near me. Not bad for someone wanting to do some crossover and horn upgrades.

I wonder how these would stack up against some of the Klipsch Pro gear? They look like they’d be killer for home theater behind a screen.

He’s got them on US Audiomart too, for anyone that can’t see the link.

Shipping is always risky with heavy speakers. Klipsch packaging on most of these isn’t great. Meant to be shipped on a pallet. That being said, Adorama sells a lot of this stuff. They should make it right if something arrives damaged. Your credit card will cover you as well.

Adorama has a pretty good sale on heritage stuff with free shipping. No affiliation. Here’s a link to slickdeals with links for each speaker.

That's how I got in the mess I'm in with speakers all aver the place, LOL 😉
I think that’s what happened to most of us lol I always say I’m going to sell something when I buy new stuff. Rarely happens. The girlfriend has no idea how much gear I’ve got wrapped up in closets. In fact I think I’ve forgotten half of what’s in there

What would realistic be in your opinion? Just curious as I’m interested but really looking for a pair of ii’s. Thanks for heads up.
Wouldn’t hurt to offer him $500. Maybe he’ll take it, maybe he’ll counter somewhere in between. If you buy them right you could use them until you find your Forte II’s then sell them for what you’ve got in them.

Looks like a pair of $5k-6.5k heresy’s lol ( I know they’re kg362’s) No way he’ll get anything near that. With a cheap center channel with zero separation. The receiver and eq are an extra $1200. I thought that was at least included 😳

I question the XO as well on those LSI. Those are the fuzziest pics a person could possibly take.
Those are really rough IMO and I would not trust all the drivers work.
You might go for $700 but I see a very extensive and time intensive rehab here. I wouldn't offer more than $500 MAX and $300 sounds better.
These are in a big city where Lascalas are rare and usually get top dollar. When they do come up asking prices are usually a bit ridiculous

Hi all,
I'm chasing after a pair of lascalas I found online. I am going to check them out later this week.
I was wondering if anyone can conclude any useful information about the speakers from the limited photos.
Also wondering what a fair price would be for the pair assuming they are 100% functional.
Thanks in advance!
I messaged this guy weeks ago before he ever posted pictures. In fact I made him take the crossover picture there. The guy was a little out there, and very uninformative. I’m not sure how he aquired them. He had no idea about the framing in the one picture. They’re going to need a fair amount of work.
His asking price isn’t too bad considering some I’ve seen. I decided to pass because I’ve got enough projects at the moment. Personally I think my max would be $700. They’ve been painted (poorly) How are your wood working skills?

In before the lock. LOL, bringing politics into the forum. How much if you're atheist?
Which reminds me of a great joke but you have to PM me as I don't want to get slapped by the MODS AGAIN!
Mark
I know better than to go into politics here lol but in his ad he has quite a bit to say about liberals

Thank you Lyle.
How much or you didn't get that far either?
I didn't look at the pics either

It actually looks like he just raised the price from $24,999 to $26,999. He said they’d only go up in value lol better grab them now before they go any higher!

Definitely a great deal for the whole set shipped. However I almost ordered some stuff from sound distributors recently. It was also a “chip in dent” deal. They wouldn’t give any information on the actual condition. So it’s kind of a gamble. They could be like new or could be in really rough shape.
-
This may be the rudest post I’ve come across. Especially on an actual audio site. I really can’t believe someone thinks anyone would actually want to make a transaction with him. Feel free to message him lol

Those are beautiful. I’ve never seen black tops like that. Are those custom?
-
I’ve had (and still have most) all of the B&W nautilus series. I think the 804’s sound so much better than the 805’s and can be had for close to the same money. I’ve never had the signatures. They are beautiful, though rare and usually with a hefty premium. If you don’t need bookshelves you should check them out. Especially if you’re going to use a stand anyways. It’s not just the extra bass. The midrange was much better too.
