  1. Hey Guys, i need some help here. As you know the MK 1 RF 62 are pretty old by the manufacturing date and i am wondering which center i should get now. Do you think i should go for the RC 62? It is the only speaker i can find in my country to buy new. Or is it better to pick a completly different center from a different series like the RP 440 C? Unluckily i have no way to check them out live, hehe.
  2. I thought you were talking about in that far upper left corner to the left of the window on top, that's why I mentioned the symmetry issue. sorry, but i don't understand?I just mean that the last picture you posted would be a good way to mount bookshelve speakers behind the back of the listening positions in my room. Maybe i'm completly misunderstanding what you mean here, sorry When you mentioned mounting it on the wall before, you said something that made me think you were planning to put it in the wall to the left of the window on the top wall in the diagram. Seems like somebody else mentioned that as well but I'd have to go through everything. If you did this, the room would not be symmetrical. Yeah it is not symmetrical for the "living room area" i only could mount the speakers next to the window on the left wall in the picture. not on top one. On the top half there is our "eating area". It is a combined room.

  4. Is there a wall directly to the right speaker on the wall? Or is there some space.
  5. It is not 15'. There is a door in between It is only 9', hehe. Your last setup that you posted would be the best (except the subwoofer being in front instead of next to the listening position) This would be a good setup because this suggests that i could mount the bookshelve speakers to the wall behind me. This would save a lot of space in the room. This would make my girlfriend happy too . She is pretty wary of this whole "surround stuff". I have to do a lot of talking
  6. Hey, thanks for the insight. This, unfortunately, is not possible because our TV wall we just purchased wouldn't fit with your layout. I only have the choice putting the Stands/cent in front at the long wall. Do you think mounting the bookshelve speakers left/right next to the window(via wall mount) behind the listening position would do the trick too? They could be angled to the listening position.
  7. Sorry, but you are right, it is wasted money. If I had not put these same speakers in the same location with the same listening position, I wouldn't say anything. It does some weird stuff. You can put 5.1 surrounds behind you, it's not ideal but it works, but, these in particular just don't work well behind you if you are close to them at all, you need direct firing bookshelves or something. What specifically happens is that on the seats off to the side, when something plays behind you, the one closest to you can't be heard well, but you are in the direct firing line of the tweeter on the other side, so it comes through strong. Same thing if you go to the other side of the room, nothing is hardly ever seemingly behind you. If you couple these with side surrounds of the same type, sometimes there is some weird cancellation going on. I finally got rid of mine altogether in that position. Eventually I will put some direct firing lower towers back there, but for now, there is nothing, it actually sounds better without them and only 5.1 sides. I would not recommend these speakers in this position in your room layout due to nearly identical personal experience. If you need to put any back there, get some direct firing ones. They would work if you were further away, but your angles are pretty much the same thing I had going on and it's just not a good thing. Uhm, ok? This would be like a 180° turn of events here This is bad... now i don't know what to do anymore
  8. No problem. You don't have to go the extra mile to translate it to german. I can understand your english just fine! No fancy words here, haha ) You guys really helped me out here. I am now more confident in buying the surround speakers. I hope the result will be good. Still two more months till i move though ;/. Now to find a good deal for the three speakers Would it be possible to mount one surround speaker to the sidewall and the other one on the back wall? Would this make a big difference? Do you think i should go for the RS62? Or is the RS42/52 enough? For the center i would pick the RC62 (MK1).
  9. Don't worry. I will buy the center with the surround speakers
  10. Thanks! Well, my biggest concern was with the mounting at the wall and the one speaker being not directly mounted next to a side wall. But if you say that this shouldn't be a problem then i am reliefed. I currently own the RF-62 (MK1). Is it a big problem to add the RS-62 II to the setup? It seems on the german market you cannot find the corresponding MK1 surround speakers.
  11. Yes, you are right. I just don't want to make mistakes. Because the speakers are not for free you know, haha
  12. My concerns are that the sound gets all mushy. I am not a sound engineer to know how this all works and i am pretty limited how i can arrange the speakers. One of my big concerns is that the setup is not symmetrical (because the room isn't). One speaker would be placed different and thus have a different behavior while playing. That is what i imagine and due to my lack of knowledge and understanding (especially how the surround speakers would work in my given scenario) i am so unsure. On your picture the rears on the back wall are set symmetrical with a wall on each side. In my room this would not be the case. And i don't know how this would sound. This is the essence.
  13. Thanks Very kind words here, wow. Yeah, i know this would be the best setup, but due to the layout of the room it is not possible. On one side there is a big window. Also the room is not square. That is why i am so unsure that adding the RS-62 to the back wall would work. Yes i want to add a center, too. I was too lazy adding the center to the picture.
  14. Yeah, but as you can see in the picture which i provided i cannot mount surround speakers to the side. Thats why i want to add the RS-62 to the back. And i am a bit unsure if it is not wasted money.
  15. Thanks, i try my best! sorry but what do you exactly mean by that? What do you mean with side surrounds?
  16. Hey Guys, hope someone can help me with the issue. I am moving to a new apartment and i am thinking to expand my current speaker system(currently 2.1) with 2 Surround Speakers (RS 62 preferred). Normally it is recommended to mount the surround speakers to the sidewall. But due to the room layout this is not possible because on one side there is a window and the room is not a square shape. The Room layout with the speakers drawn in (RS 1 and 2 in Position behind the listening position) Hörposition is "listening position" on the picture. And 4.57m is 14.99 feet and 6.01m is 19.7 feet. I am german, sorry The blue things are windows, by the way. My questions: Is it a big problem to mount the Speakers behind the listener directly to the wall? Is there a problem when mounting them behind the listener if one speaker on the wall is not directly next to a wall like the Speaker(RS1) on the picture? As you can see the RS2 would be directly "in the room" with no sidewall next to it. Do you have different suggestions maybe?

  18. Hey Guys. I'm new here and i want to introduce myself. My Name is Sascha and i'm 26 yrs old and living in Germany and since last year a happy member of the "Klipsch Family" i'm trying to get to the full 5.1 Klipsch System (RF62, RC62, RS62+Sub) as soon as possible and i'm asking which component would be the next logical step. Currently i'm only in posession of the RF-62. They are connected to a Onkyo TX-SR508. The speakers are standing nearly 1.5 meters away from my listening position in a 10m2 "big" room. I'm using the system for nearly 50% music(bass heavy music) 30% movies and 20% games Should i upgrade to 2.1 first? Get a new Sub (had the RW-12D in mind). It would be oversized for the moment, but i'm planning to move to a bigger room in the future. Oh yeah: Is it normal that i have to rise the bass to +6db at my AV-R that the RF-62 are picking up the bass? When i put my AV-R to +0DB i nearly don't have any bass with low/room-loudness volume. Or maybe upgrade to 4.0 instead of the sub? Rears + Center? Or maybe even changing the receiver, because it's to weak for the Speakers? Hope you guys can help a poor guy from germany! I stated this post over @ 2 Channel Audio, but one user suggested to me to repost it here, because it's more a Home Theater matter:)
  19. No other suggestions? Is there a advantage in buying a SW-112 Sub instead of the RW-12D? The RW-12D has better looks and fits better to my fronts
  20. damn, i could play football in a 10 meter x 10 meter room XD
  21. I think you missunderstood something. The room is 10m² small. The "big" was just sarcastic. It's 4.5 meters x 2 meters in size. And i'm sitting at the long side of the room. I think it's about 107 ft² in america? I hope i didn't miscalculate. (sorry we use the metric system here)
  22. What would be the advantage of the RB-61s? What do you think about the RW-12D Sub? I heard it packs quite a punch. In Germany it costs about 500€ (~700$)
