The ones in Chicago, I believe he started at $200, then $1200 (I told him he was crazy), he dropped them to $800 and told me he would take $400, he dropped, them to $600 and ended up selling them for $400.

I have 3 pairs of La Scalas (AL, AL-3, AA) and a pair of Klispchorns with AK-2. I was planning to sell the pair of La Scalas with AL crossovers. So, I was thinking of upgrading (technically backdating) the AK-2 to the AAs.
If I had sold some gear faster, I would have picked up the pair of AL-3s that were on eBay. However, I couldn't pass on this deal.

Top of the line Klipsch KLF-30 speakers with 2 12 woofers, mid range and high horn. These things are BAD!!! I bought them in 2000 while on active duty, used them in my barracks room for a year and they've been book shelves ever since. Probably have less than 100 hours use on them. One replacement woofer alone is $200.00 so $400.00 for the pair is a steal. Originally bought them for close to $200.00. These will make your house bump....that is, if you're stereo has the Power! Mids and highs can be wired separately on the back so you can run the mids and highs directly from the stereo preamp and the woofers off a dedicated external amp for heavy bass. Neighbors might get mad (or jealous) at the loudness. Nothing wrong with them, just need the cloth covers refinished, materials to do it come cheap. I haven't heard antything back yet. I emailed him pretty quick too.
The KLF-10 are very similar to the KG 5.5s that I had. They have a lot of bass and surprisingly are listed as lower bass extension than the KLF-20 and KLF-30.

Good luck! The KG 5.5 are a great speaker with lots of bass. It is like a front ported KLF-10.
