is used to play regular dvds and id get sound throught thaoptical now i dont get any sound unless its a blue ray disk and somtimes i dont get dsound from that either the only way i can get soun is if i fun a optical from the tv to the reciever but then i dont know if im getting true surround sound like that any help would be appreciated

thanks and yes switching it to 150 hz did give better sound

actually i think i finally got it switched thes denon avr are kind of complicated caompared to yahmahas

still cant get my speakers to set at 120 hz there stuck at 64 hz anybody with a denon 2106 pleas help i been searching everywere how to do this the instructions dont help much

thanks it is a particular mic are can i just go buy any mic and what kind of meet er do i ask for a radio shack if i go get one again im mostly kinda new to this

yes but i bought it used and it didnt have the mic with it so manully have to set it up ;[

hi im a newb to this site glad i joined already love thes speakers anyway im trying to set up my system its a denon 2106 avr and quintet 111 speakers when i go intospeaker set up it askes for what hz and khz and -/+ dbs to set each speaker at this is were im stuck dont know what to set them at would please like your info and help and any other thoughts on how to set this system up o ya also have a 10 inch klipsch sub hooked up to it
