  1. Soundog, thanks very much for your prompt response. Your excellent input encouraged me to go ahead with the experiments I had in mind. I, to some degree of approximation, managed to make panels and a bass trap based on Jon Risch's design (http://www.geocities.com/jonrisch/a1.htm) and managed to tame the boomy bass by careful placement of these panels and the speakers. I thought adding vibrapods to the speakers will enhance further, but adding the isolators seems to have taken me to square one. I am still experimenting and will post my findings soon. Ganesh
  2. There are those who buy good speakers and then just sit & enjoy, and there are those who keep on tweaking in the name of getting the best out without ever fully getting satisfied!. Obviously, I write this because I belong to the second category :-) I recently bought RF3 speakers and after trying, as several of us would have tried, different combinations of amps, cables, interconnects, placement etc, it dawned on me that it is perhaps the room acoustics that causes the brightness and boomy bass that I experience!. The room has concrete walls and tiled floor. I read some articles about using Vibrapods to tame the brightness and ASC tubetraps to tame the bass and I would like to know if any of you tried these with Klipsch models, particulalrly with RF3's. I would like to know the effectivness of these accessories before I take another expensive route and I'll be grateful if you could kindly share your findings with me. Ganesh
  3. I convey my condolences to Americans. During this ordeal that all peace-loving people are subject to now, it is slightly comforting to see that most of the countries have rallied around to support. We have a huge task ahead and I hope we accomplish it soon. Ganesh
