I had edited my initial post. I had thought it was an SW1 and went over to ebay hunting to see what these sell for in the event I opt for that Klipsch rw-12d and want to sell the NHT. Once I saw specs and pics I said, "Damn that's not it". I had to go over and look at the model I have and it's the SW2. Then those NHT numbers got goofy with respect to sub only, amp only, and combo(i,p, & s in model number). I sorted it out and my latest edit is right for what I have...sorry about that and something tells me it may not change your opinion much if at all? The NHT SW2 went up to a 10" woofer. Plus the amp is either 80 or 90watt so a bit up on the SW1 if it's rated at 60...different sites stated it different when I was looking up specs. The SW3 jumped to an SA-3 amp at 250 watts I found out...to bad. Honestly I didn't even know NHT went out of business...bummer hearing that as I have really liked this sub but with this setup it just isn't cutting it. Went very well with my older Polk Audio's.
Interesting turning the sub idea. Got to try that.
