  1. I forgot to mention...I did speak with Steve at Klipsch in the parts department. They do have a few remaining K-701 horns available. $20 each plus shipping.
  2. Thanks to Muel I received a new set of K-701 horns and gaskets. The damaged horn has now been replaced and I'm getting a chance to break my "new" Heresy IIs in..... These are great speakers even though a little shy on the low end. I'm using a Cheapo Dayton DTA-1 Tripath Amp and it sounds way too good for the money! I'm streaming audio from my iOS5 devices to an Apple Airport Express that's plugged directly in to the DTA-1. I may play around with an inexpensive self-powered 8" subwoofer that I have soon. For now in my small study (10x12), I'm pretty happy with the results...... Joe..... p.s. every post that I make doesn't seem to format properly..no spaces between paragraphs, etc...any suggestions?
  3. The terminal cups are round. The crossover is mounted directly to the backside.
  4. Muel, That's awesome! I would definitely like to get those from you. I'll PM you to work out the details. I'm still going to call Klipsch and report back just in case anyone else has the same problem. I'll also ask about the III upgrade while I have them on the phone. The crossovers are mounted on the back of the speaker terminal cup...I'll have to take a closer look. After my "new" Heresy IIs are up and running I'll post some less upsetting pictures Thanks guys!
  5. I'll give Klipsch a call tomorrow. Thanks, Joe
  6. The seller had mentioned that one of the horns had a harline crack that had been repaired. To give him credit, he did do an excellent job of packing. The cabinets were in great condition. My guess is that FedEx dropped them from a foot or two and the repaired horn gave way to the weight of the motor assembly. Joe
  7. Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, as you can see, Super Glue and Bondo aren't going to save this one Anyone have an extra K701 they would like to sell?
  8. I just received a pair of Heresy IIs. Unfortunately one of the midrange horns was damaged during shipping. The horn is plastic, model k-701. I'm looking for a source for a replacement. On eBay, I found several K-700 metal horns. Any pros or cons of the K-701 vs. k-700? Thanks for the input, Joe
