  1. Columbus Ohio, so it is a bit far. But this is close to what I am looking for. I may consider taking it apart and shipping it for $125, would you be interested then? I just started my search, I will let you know. Thanks!

  3. I knew that would get your attention! [] Anyway, I am looking for a simple rack to put my components in that can help hide them when not in use. Prefer black. I have an intergrated amp, tuner, cd player and perhaps the future a turntable. Show me what you have and where you got it. Thanks!
  4. Our Irish are a hoot. We have not had much experiance with the English Setters, but I would imagine they are close. It is hard to have a bad day with an Irish around. [<)] Feel free to add caption ideas.........
  5. Our boy Irish Setter gining his mom heck on the table in an agility trial. []
  6. I tend to agree with the vintage intergrated amps statement. I currently have what I think to be a decent Kenwood KA 7100 intergrated amp and a good old matching Kenwood KT 7300 tuner. Not sure about you, but I much prefer spinning the weighted knob to get a station. I am either going to continue to use this equipment and hide it somehow as to not harm the visual esthetics my wife insists on in our entertainment center or start to shop had at the thrift stores. 7. So, in your opinion, Onkyo's tend to be warmer than other SS units?
  8. Wife insists on black, need I say more? []
  9. Budget is not really much of an issue I suppose, I do not need phone at the moment but who knows what the future holds. I know LP has a much better sound than other sources.
  10. Hi all, I am looking for a 2 channel high quality stereo receiver to match my 1983 Heresy's. I currently have a Kenwood intergrated amp and seperate Kenwood tuner that works fine but looking for a replacement unit in BLACK mostly for asthetics for my system. Of course, I want to make sure I am improving the system while changing componants. The most important quality is the sound for a proper match with the Klipsch speakers. Did I say it needs to be BLACK? [] Does anyone have something for sale that would suit my needs? Thanks in advance!
  11. Hopefully did this right, added a quick pic of my litle setup. Speakers on top of Heresy's are simple surround fronts that go with the Kenwood surround system system. They are at least better than the tv speakers. The old Kenwoodequipment is on the right side. The Heresy's are like new!
  12. You mentioned "the old Kenwood may also be a little bland after all these years", do you think that is due to the age of the equipment? How do you (and others) think they stack up to other equipment of that time period? I think the vintage stuff sounds better than some of the new equilivant type stuff nowadays. Opinions?
  13. I agree with the Kenwood statement. It has sentimental value to it if nothing else. I would like to hear more on the tube receiver/amp options. The guy who bought my old Heresy's uses tubes and swears by them. Jeff
  14. I will do that! Central Ohio area. Thanks
  15. Hi all, I am new to this forum and wanted to say I have enjoyed reading through the various posts and topics related to the Klipsch product. I got my first pair of Heresey's way back in '77 and as I had a passion for high end stereo equipment back in the day I still have that ear for beautifully reproduced music of all types today. In fact, my daughter got my ear for music and is now a music education teacher in Michigan. Fruit does not fall far from the tree. My lifestyle transitioned into different needs over the years, growing family, jobs etc. of which took me out of the scene a bit. Only a couple of years ago I sold my beloved pampered Heresey's to a new very appreciative young man who I still keep in contact with to see how my speakers are serving him. He reminds me of me back in '77. Anyway, as time passed I have regretted selling those to him, even asked if he would re-sell to me, no chance for that. Klipsch seems to have that effect. [] So, I started looking on the outside chance of finding a equally as nice pair and I stumbled into the perfect replacements. A stunning pair of '83 BB Heresey's showed up on Craigslist in my town in like never used new condition. I could not believe it. Sequential serial numbers. $250.00! I have since re-aquired my old Kenwood intergrated amp and tuner and could not be happier. Takes me back. It is amazing how a quality product keeps a person coming back for more. In the day of all the compressed music on MP3's and the unnatural booming bass kids play in their cars, it truly is refreshing to see others like me are still out there that really appreciate what music reproduction is supposed to be. Thanks for listening. []
