  1. I didn't know where else to post this question so I came here. Somewhere in the 992 replies to date, the answer may lie, but I'm asking again. I ordered my Rf 7ii's last week after quite a deal of homework. I was comparing them to the Polk LsiM series, but I am primarily using this for HT and I just like Klipsch. My question is why are there no professional reviews for the Rf 7ii's? Am I missing them? Is Klipsch a "red headed stepchild" in the audio kingdom? Sound and Vision just did a write up on the Polks this month. But I can't find a write up on the 7's ouside of user reviews.

I'm more curious than anything, I have been able to listen to the Rf 7's and I'm very excited and confident with my decision! Thanks!

  2. reference head - this is a great link! (atsa acoustics) Thank You for sharing this. My wife can't get into hanging acoustic treatments on the wall, I have casually looked around for some "art" that might work, but the coffee bag acoustic treatments may just work out in our house! [:)] Another reason to hang around here, I learn something new just about every visit!

  3. I feel like I'm reading this story that sort of ended with two chapters to go. Did the guy get the girl in the end - sorry I mean - did you keep tinkering? Did you get a satisfactory sound? Did that mcintosh demo sound good? Did I miss something? Inquiring minds want to know!

  4. And the SW 115 is on the way! Elited thanks for laying out the specs so clearly that helped a lot. This will be a far cry from my first HT sub which was a DCM 1515. I know - it was awful!

  5. Thanks for the feedback derrick. My goal is for clean, tight bass, but there has to be some rumble in the movies too. If the RF7II's can hit 30Hz, then it would make sense to go for a sub that's going to descend well below that. My dealer can order that for me so I won't have to cover the shipping I would on some of the internet direct subs. (And like I mentioned - they have a sale going right now as well...) The SW 115 may be moving to the front of the line. The sub has been my sticking point for this whole set up from the get go. I really wish they made a SW 312! I appreciate all of your responses.

  6. Thanks, great feedback! There is a deal going on Klipsch subs at my dealer so I'll have to consider the 115, good opportunity and I'm in Alaska where shipping can chew at the budget.

  7. Thank you so much! Right now $800-$1000 that's why I considered these two subs since I had the rw10d already it might be a decent complement. I like the 10 I have but I know there's better out there and I can upgrade down the line. I am ordering the emotiva xpa 5 also and a elite vsx 53. So the initial outlay is a little *cough* but I think I'll be very happy with it! Thanks for your feedback!

  8. Exciting day for me, I am happy to be joining this group as an rf 7II owner! I don't post often at all, but I read these forums a LOT! Thank you all for the knowledge you share, I've learned a lot from you all! I placed an order at my local dealer today for the 7's the RC 64 and RS 62II's. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to post some pics too! I posted a sub question in the sub forum so any input there is appreciated. Debating on the sw 310 vs the sw 112. Thanks again for sharing your pics and insight!

  9. This is an exciting day for me, I ordered home theater speakers from my local dealer today. (finally!!) RF 7II's, RC 64, and RS 62 II surrounds. I read a lot on this forum and have only ever posted one other time. Thank you for the knowledge you all share it has been huge in my decision process! My next question is the sub. I'm looking at the SW-310 and/or the SW-112. Can anyone help me who has experience between the two?

Lastly, I currently own the RW 10-d and was thinking of using it for a second sub. (maybe back of the room) I'm looking for pros and cons of this also. Thank you all in advance!

  10. Thanks Quiet and derrick. I am looking at this setup for movie purposes first and foremost. I can get an elite at near cost which is a tremendous deal, I am wrestling with wether or not separates will make the cost difference worthwhile. I love the fact that my iPad can be my remote with the 57, but if I thought it would make a big difference to go the separate route, I'd hold out. I've read some emotiva reviews and they sound mixed on some levels. I realize with anthem, marantz and integra you can spend what you want or of course head to macs and so on. I'm just trying to weigh bang for the buck. I want to watch movies and be immersed. Thanks again all for your input!
