In my madness along with building a set of La Scala inspired speakers. The idea is building new main speaker cabniets to match the center. Adding a set of K-700 with Selenium 250Xs and Type E crosovers with the Kg 3s drivers. Has anyone ever used any of these?

The main speakers are Kg 3s, surrounds Kg 1.5, center (I built using 2 Tangent K-6-K 8" and Kg 3 K-84-K tweeter), dual subwoofer enclosures 12". Running off a Yamaha RX V471 and Carver TCM-15.

I have gotten the Klipsch bug baddly lately.

Never did I even believe that I know what I am doing, just having a blast seeing these come together. [] I had a thought on the driver and wanted to bounce this off people that do know what end is up. Using a Selenium D3305Ti and making a 2 way design? The tops have me at a crossroads on what will be the best bang for the buck. These have become big babies, small in the fact using k-1242s instead of K-33s. They keep growing the final dimensions will end up 23" x 18" x 42" The tall skinny little brother.

Funny how people driving by look puzzled.

I would like to find a horn that is approx 15" x 7.5" for the mids. Depth is my only issue, 15.75" other than finding a horn that size that doesn't break the bank and will go to 500 Hz.

The top will be enclosed to add to the overall volume. 2.98 cu. ft. The bottom riser will also add to the volume .35 cu. ft. I still have to figure the dog house volume. Then off to subtracting the displacement on the drivers.

Plans keep evolving.

Amarillo I'll post the plans later today. The woofers are 12 inch, as for the crossovers and drivers the plans for tops are still yet to fall in place. The K 700 horns I have are way to small. Since I haven't obtained drivers yet for the tops my options are open.

I love those! speakerfritz, I had seen the addition that has been added to the bottom of the doghouse before. I like your idea much better. I never had any plans to port these. Quick question, "What if I built my riser at the base 6 inches and also attached that volume to the doghose also?" Since the top plans haven't been written in stone yet, Im not sure where this rabbit hole will lead. I am just thrilled to be doing this!

This is just the first cuts and mocked up. Alot of work ahead.

Funny, I know the guy that just bought them... lol Not sure about the tweeters either. A set of Hip clones fits the bill. Thanks for the specs, now to see if I can make heads or tails of it.

I have aquired a pair of 12 inch K-1242-k that I want to use in a pair of cabniets. I have a pair of K-84-K tweeters and a set of K-700 Horns (No drivers yet can't decide 55v or m), that I plan on using at this point. Crossovers will be the final hurdle that I hope Bob will be able to handlewith a type E upgrade. After searching I cannot find any info on these 12s. Any help would be greatly appreciated
