I was look at the LF conten thread and Pompeii has some good LF in the movie. I am wondering about my Redbox Rental. The LF content was not present in my copy.
A lot of Redbox and Netflix discs are having the sound replaced with DD Pro Logic. I guess they get them cheaper of some shit.

I know I have always loved the sound of B&W and Klipsch. I have owned a few B&W DM601 S2, 602, 604 S2 and 604 S3 and when it came down to it, to my ears, the Reference Series was the obvious winner. I really enjoyed the low punch of the 604 S3 (especially at low volume) but when you crank them up loud, the B&W began to show their weakness. Bass gets muddy and highs begin to break up. The Reference Series does not have as much bass at lower volume but the clarity and ability to crank with clarity was the choice for me.
I actually kinda feel the same. I was waiting for the new B&W 6 series center but when I listened, it wasnt what I expected from a $800 center. So I knew I had to come back to Klipsch.
For $838, I got a RC-62 II and a set of RB-61 II . I was looking for some cripsness or brightness that I wasnt hearing from the B&W. Other ears may hear different tho.

Thanks guys, Chris thanks for the link. Makes perfect sense now.

I understand that THX was top notch back in the day. I believe any of your THX rated speakers kicks ***. With the advances in Dobly and DTS on Blu Rays and DVDs, why is THX still being used as a reference ?
dont get me wrong , I have a file full of THX pre-movie sound bytes and love them. Thanks , I`m curious. RD6

Thats kinda crappy, a lot of people buy religiously for the feature.

Also, if you use your AVR`s crossover be sure o turn the crossover knob on sub up all the way.

Nice, I just ordered a set of RC61-II to match this center. Oh the next few days are gonna drag...

Ive had almost all Yamaha, I had tried a Harmon Kardon ( From Circuit City ) , Its was kinda pricey. I could not stand it , I keep coming back to Yamaha. I have had mostly Klipsch before. I prefer the sound when they are paired together. I dont know if its bright but it definatley inst subtle.

Lets hear some updates?
