Don't know what gauge the wires are, there's nothing written on the side of them plus I think "gauge" is an american term. The camera is a canon powershot G1.

I upgraded my promedia 2.1s wire - and oh boy is it great! before whenever I moved my speaker I got a scratching noise & sound disappearing. I once tried the same thing with a discman - had to keep turning the earphone plug to get sound in both speakers. anyway, after I upgraded my speaker wire all problems are gone. I even think that they sound a little bit better. but maybe that's just me! I attached some pics of my setup.
