  1. yeah, no worries man.. I cannot call or I would have...LOL... I am deployed to afghanistan....
  2. the ones that come with the speakers... i would like to get thoes... arnt those like a plate? can I use either banana and/spade?? ...the ones that come with it are like gold plated metal strips with slots to feed in under terminals.... thoes are actually the ones I want... but the bi-wire/binding post adaptors via wire with either banana or spade would work too... I am fine making my own, but would just like to find the adaptors that come with the speakers...
  3. anybody got a line on the binding post adapters, (two speaker posts to one cable adapter)...I am guessing another name for them is Bi-wire jumper?... I know I can make them, but would prefer a part number from Klipsch for those... anyone got it?? thx...
  4. Ok, got confirmation yesterday on what I actually have... they are the original RF-7's .... not that it matters.... either way got a steal of a deal.... they have the plastic fronts... thought I would let you all know... atleast who was interested....
  5. yup... sure does... supports the 7.2 in pre-outs ... supports zone 2 (powered) and zone 3 as well...
  6. I figured I got a good deal... but didnt realize how good it was until I really started digging into the honest used prices of them.... so, I am extremely happy with the price... no doubt about it!!!
  7. If it's a lower end AVR you will want to upgrade or consider an external amp..Congrats on the deal and I can't help but think if the seller put RF-7s in the title you would've had some competition, given they sell for as much as you paid for the bunch. Regardless, WAY TO GO and thanks for your Service and enjoy them when you get back. its a 7.2 AV receiver... 3D capable ect..... its mid-end so I definitely think its a good starting point... only going to use it as 5.2 and you are welcome about serving... nice to know, there are people out there that still give a damn about us deployed...
  8. I hear ya man... maybe on in the future for serious pre-amp and externals... but this is a mid level onkyo... so its a good starter for me...and I am sure I will be impressed with it, and knowing the great deal I got... makes it even better...
  9. that is awesome... just what I want to hear... and definately good to know... the receiver I got puts 135watts per channel... hoping that is enough power to push them the into the great sound quality volume range.... is there anything out there that measure wattage pushed from the system, that is either a digital display or analog?
  10. I sure hope so... but you guys know more than I do about this... so I am sure you are right... thx...
  11. I think so too.. Considering, he went to UPS to ship them and they told him it would over $1000 to ship them...LOL... so it was cheaper to drive them.. from over 2 states away!!! LOL.... I figured it would be around 3-400 shipping.... so that would mean I bought them for 7-800... which is a ridiculous deal!!! I bought them on ebay... LOL.... here is the link to what I bought... you tell me what you think... has some minor cosmetic damage... but can be fixed... makes me thing that the scratch on the front of RF-7 cabinet says WOOD (as in CLASSIC Klipsch) as opposed to plastic (ORIGINAL Klipsch)... now that I think about it... and I was the only bidder.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/261052334549?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  12. guess I never actually said.. I have NO idea which ones they are at the current time frame... still wondering that myself.... all I know is that the picture I received...not great quality looks like plastic front, black veneer... and the guy is original owner of them.. didnt tell me when he purchased them.. but he lives in an appartment complex... so I know the system was not played loudly... and the receiver only puts out 100 watts rms/ch and thoes are good to over twice that... so... I am still standing by on that note....
  13. the guy just drove them from out of state to deliver them to me...well my buddy.. I am active duty military deployed to afghanistan right now... he just got them last night and should be taking pictures for me in the next couple of days... although he did say they look EXCELLENT... and I STOLE THEM AT THAT PRICE... 1100 shipped for 2x RF-7, 2xRS-7's, 1xRC-7, a Yamaha receiver RX-V1000 (which I will not be using) and MISC cables and wires... so no I dont have them currently, or listened to them at this time... wish I did... have a ton of stuff for my system 2 SVS PB12-NSD's, Onkyo TX-NR809, 73" TV (3D), Furman power line conditioner, Onkyo Blueray player and media server 4TB (wireless) for my FLAC and vids ... I am in the learning stages of this stuff... and my buddy is already deep into this... he has been helping me out while forcing homework on me... LOL.... learned alot... but still learning ... better sound bad ***, and look bad *** too...
  14. I greatly appreciate it.... I scanned the internet for a LONG time before I posted that question here... that was the only reason I posted that question here...lol...
  15. your set up is FREAKIN awesome!!! wow......................... .... on the real subject... thx for the info... I will do that... flush mounted approx 2-3 feet above head.... would hate to find out the hard way... and wind up doing it again... so thx for setting me up for success...
  16. I guess the question on that note is.... I have vaulted ceilings in my house, I want to mount at top of wall where vault on ceiling starts... is flush mounting with key holes alight, or do I want a bracket to mount so I can angle towards seating area.... if the preferred method is flush high, then I am good... please let me know... I still would like pictures of the backs of speakers....
  17. anybody got any pictures of the back of RS-7's?
  18. Hey all, I am looking for some pictures of the RS-7 speaker... I want to know what the top, bottom, sides, and especially the back of them look like... I dont currently have mine as of now, but I want to wall mount them, and need some pictures to purchase some mounts for them... also, what you guys recommend for wall mount... I definitely want swivel and tilt... but would like your suggestions as well... if I could get the same pics for the RC-7 as well, but I figure its flat on all sides...
  19. ok, got it, I will definately check them out just to know exactly what I have, and I am gathering that all internals, speakers, drivers, cone, ports ect were all the same beween original and classic too? do I presume correct?
  20. thx for all of the replies... I bought the RF-7's with RC'7 and the RS-7's, and think I am got a really good deal on them... I am sure I will be happy...
  21. dude, that is sweet.. thx for the pictures!!! I will compare when I get mine... but I am sure they are the discontinued models... not a problem in my book though... still sweet!
  22. I dont actually have the speakers yet... I just bought them, and had pictures of them... so I will have to check after they are shipped... but I am positive they are the original ones... just didnt know if they were classic or non classic model.... just hoping it was not some off labeled model....
  23. I am trying to figure out some information reguarding some RF-7's that have been discontinued... Klipsch has two models, classic and non classic... here is the serial number of one of the RF-7's I have... I would like to know which model its, or if one of thoes two models.... hoping the serial number will help decipher this info... the sticker on the back reads RF7 Black SN: RF7BK--01360337 Impedance 8 ohms Max input PWR: 150 watts another question I have is referancing the max input power of 150 watts... according to both of the discontinued models they both say 250 w max continuous (1000 w peak) ... so... exactly what does this mean? please help....
