Clearing out some old parts. I have for your consideration a pair of Klipsch K-10-K subwoofers from my old Quartets. These are 10in, active woofers. If you search this site, you will find my thread from a while back where I went through the process of replacing these in my Quartets with new drop ins from the factory. You will also find from that same thread and the pictures below that one of the woofers is blown. The cone is pretty seriously damaged, but the woofer was/is otherwise functional. It should just need a re-coning job. The other woofer is in good shape. No structural or performance related issues at all. Both items have been stored indoors and have relatively untouched for over a year now. Look to sell either idividually or as a pair.

Still interested in both Accurus pieces but no funds. Hopefully real soon. If the amp is goine, I'd still love the ACT 3.
Sounds good. Knucklehead is interested in the amp, but that's the only iron in the fire at this point.

I honestly don't know enough about those speakers to give you a solid opinion. I do know that the Acurus gear is top notch, clean power and signal. If your speakers need 100 to 150 watts a piece, I don't see any reason that these items wouldn't pare up well together. I will PM you on price.

Bass would not be an issue! Probably depends on intended use as for the need for a center. I tend to use them more on the rock n roll side and don't feel the need for a center in that capacity.

I am chopping at the bit. Too much $$$ spent lately to justify the Acurus combo. But, my birthday is coming up in July so maybe the bride will let me make it happen.

Well, if current market trends continue to hold true, then this will likely still be around in July! Good thing is, I am under no pressure to sell so I can continue to use it until the right buyer comes along, or the right buyer's birthday comes...

Does your ACT-3 have any of thee upgrades? The final Klipsch upgrade, with 7.1 analog inputs, made it an outstanding piece. I wish I still had mine.

From the photos on the first page I would say not.

I do not believe this unit has any upgrades. As I recall from a while back, I knew about the 7.1 and Bass Boost upgrades. For purchasing purposes, you should assume none of the upgrades have been done.

-Package - Do you mean AMP + Pre-Amp? Definitely willing to wheel and deal. If you are interested in the KLF 10's, even more so.
-My idea is to try to set up a decent headphone setup instead of the big speakers. I have also gotten into vinyl, so phono pre-outs will be important to me. Haven't done the research here yet to know what I am looking for, but I'm willing to listen if you have something that fits the bill.
-How does the setup drive the KLF 10's? Without breaking a sweat! I wouldn't even dream of taking the combo to max volume! The KLF 10's have Crites tweeters installed, FYI.

Bringing this thread back from the dead! I ended up holding on to the combo and paired it with some KLF 10's. My man cave is being scaled down, so there is not room for this gear any more. If I need to set up a new thread, I will, just thought I would include some of the previous interations on here so you can get some opinions. Let me know if you have questions.
