Turns out that the solution was easier than I thought. Just reinstalled the drivers and everything's fine. In case anyone has the same issue, try reinstalling your drivers. I don't know why, but it works.

Everything was working great with my 4.1s for almost a year. Now, today, I noticed that my front two speakers are much fainter than my rear speakers (they weren't yesterday). I checked the wires and all the connections and inputs and everything seems good. I am using the Hercules Gametheater XP and have updated to the 6.1 drivers and have double checked to set my speakers to 4.1 in the driver setup. If I crank up the volume during the surround sound test and make the two front speakers the only active ones, I can hear the test but it's extremely faint. The rear speakers are fine. Does this mean that my front speakers need to be replaced or is it something else? Please help. BTW, I am using Windows2K with SP2 installed as my OS.
