  1. I think it has mostly to do with the people who do the mixing as to what sounds "good" I have three DTS encoded movies. The best sounding DTS movie I have is "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" Then I have "Saving Private Ryan" which is ok. I then have "Interview with a Vampire" - did not impress me at all. But I also have some really good sounding DD movies, "Titanic" and The Matrix" really sound good So it all boils down to whoever is doing the Mixing of the tracks, same as CD's. Hagood- Yes "Saving Private Ryan" DTS or DD I bought the DTS version which also has DD Rick
  2. Hi veyenyl, Go with the RF3's and add more R's as your budget will allow. I just got a pair and the sound is clean and crisp, even at low volume. They are also loud too Rick
  3. Well I drove down to Now Audio/Video in Winston Salem, NC last night and picked up a couple of RF3-II's and only paid $40 more than what I could have got them sent to me for, total price $702.90. I feel better about going to a store and buying something, especially after I listened to the RF3-II's in the studio room. Anyway, I got them home and unboxed them, nicely boxed, I knew I was in the company of greatness. Got'em hooked up and fired up the Eagles Hotel California CD. I have had that CD for about 6 years and last night was the first time I really heard it, I mean wow, even at low volume it sounded good. The guy at the store told me not to crank up the RF3-II's until I had about 40hrs play time on them, but they are loud even without turning them up. Now I can't wait to add other R series speakers to my setup. Thanks goes out to "TheEAR" for helping me decide which way to go. 4. Thanks for the suggestions,, I am going with the RF3-II's which I found for $599, but while I was looking around I found a set of RF-3 (not II's) for $499. Is there a big differnce other than the internal wiring with custom Z-Series Monster Cable? Thanks Rick Soon to be a Klipsch owner
  5. Hi All, I need some suggestions on which way to go on my current HT setup. I am looking at adding either the RF-3II's or the Synergy System 6 w/ KSW12 any thoughts?
