  1. I was able to get separate them (just had to spin them) tonight with little problem. The gaskets in there appeared a bit dry but considering they are 3 years older than me it is amazing the shape they are! I am finishing up the rest of the job tonight and can't wait to see what they sound like tomorrow when my kids are awake. Unfortunately I have to wait another week to get my 2270 back from getting Led's installed and the general service. I feel like a kid at Christmas!

    Thanks Guys for the help!

  2. I finally am getting around to sending my X-overs to getting the Crites refurb and was wondering while I am doing it is there anything else I should do. They are Cornwall 2's from 1968 and I bought them from the original owner (I have the receipt and all the paperwork!) and they had not even been moved since he bought them. I opened them up expecting cobwebs and who knows what else as it is my understanding he never opened them up. When opened they pretty much look new and pristine inside!

So while I am waiting to get my x-overs back is there anything else I should do inside? The speakers sound great and have zero problems- they are mint  and look new.

    Any suggestions?

  3. I was actually going to buy those CWs in cheshire...I asked for more pics than what he had on the site and I was very happy with what he sent back. I might have them somewhere in my trash folder, if you want, I could go digging and pass them to you through email. The only thing I was questioning about them was the serial # indicated they were decorators but they have grills and he said he hadn't modified them at all. A bit of a red flag, so I opted not to get them.

Sure if you could dig them out that would be great. I like the finish of the ones up outside seattlebetter but the cheshire do sound tempting..........

  4. Thanks for the info! I am not sure I could convince the old"ball and chain" to have Scala's in our living room but I might have to drive up to Seatlle or out to cheshire to check them out those Cornwalls. Thanks for the heads up on Echo. I will have start checking in with them.......

  5. Hi,

I am new to the forum and thinking/looking for some Cornwalls for a new system that i am puting together. Someone in a town a few hours away os selling some speakers and they look like some Cornwalls in good shape. The info he gave me is

    CHR 11 WO serial # is 900465 75 90 22 885 date of speaker 06/20/90 07/26/90

Fom the build dates I gather they are cormwall II's. Can any body deipher the model or serial number for more info for me?

I don't want to travel a fee hours to find they are a differnt model.......

    Thanks!
