  1. Hah, yes sorry wishful thinking / typo. RS41's I meant, not RS42's. Anyone else interested, this is the guy who made them http://www.ebay.com/usr/birks_place The best part is he was willing to customize the top plate to the shape of the speaker. I whipped up a quick visio of it with measurement and angles sent it over as an image. Takes a few weeks once you place the order. Overall feels like a sturdy construction.
  2. Finally arrived, custom 42" speaker stands for the RS42's
  3. Or to be more precise, SW-110 versus R-10SW?
  4. So musing around on options for the subwoofer. I like the Reference subs as they match the style of the Reference II's I've been building out but Klipsch does not list them as for sale any more and they even sell the RF-42 5.1 setup with an SW line sub. From the description on their site the SW line sounds like its not as good as the Reference sub, is this a correct interpretation?' Basically, between the Reference and the SW line, which is considered the better line of subs?
  5. I've opted to go custom build, will post pics once I get them.
  6. Too late on the 42's by the time I posted this they were already ordered. Interestingly enough it turns out the RF's are coming from acoustic sound design though. Will take a look at the wall mount option but I think I may be limited as our current place is rented.
  7. Hi all, New to the forums, just started investing in a set of Reference II's (starting off small with the 42's as the room and budget are both quite small initially) for a 7.1 setup. Looking for some advice on stands though. The RS series are quite an interesting shape and I find myself wondering over what stand will work best for it. It would seem from looking that a typical square / rectangular base stand may lend itself to allowing the speakers to be tipped off the stand. Also due to the curvature I am not quite clear on if there is a certain size / dimension I should aim for. Any tips / suggestions welcome. Ideally looking for quite a thick stand with a solid base that is not easily tippable. I have the kid factor to take into consideration here too. Many thanks
