  1. I don't think that you would want to position rear speakers very far apart or much higher than ear level. Remember that if you make the rear speaker spacing/height that much different than the fronts, you will make the soundfield (soundstage) uneven (unbalanced) as well. Have you considered floor stands? They would certainly be easier to work with than wallbrackets as they don't require drilling numerous holes til you get it right, or wire hiding either for that matter. Go to the link below...I ordered from these guys and they we quick and reliable servicewise. These are the same Omnimount RB-1 floorstands that Klipsch sells and are priced cheaper too. The floor stands also allow you to run the cables up thru the stand itself, which will make for a neater appearance. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/avpronet/rb-1.html This message has been edited by gabriel11 on 12-19-2001 at 08:24 PM
  2. I too have an Audigy X-Gamer (os Win98se though) and my BostonAcoustics wouldn't work in the 4th jack from the left (motherboard being left handside. But when I plugged them into #1 jack...Taa Daa, suddenly I have sound. I had previously owned a SBLive!Value and set up according to the way I had when it was installed. Doh! Try changing things around, I'm sure it'll work...Very nice card BTW, but I'm not a huge EAX fan. Maybe I will be when my PM 401's arrive later this week...EAX may sound better with 4 speakers as opposed to 2. This message has been edited by gabriel11 on 12-18-2001 at 07:12 PM

  4. Well obligated or not...doing so may shed some light on the issue and clear up some of the confusion. This message has been edited by gabriel11 on 12-18-2001 at 03:22 PM
  5. Post some statistics stating how many Good Units are shipped as opposed to the handful that seem to be bad, like the ones I've been reading about here...Then maybe we can see what small percentage of the buyers actually have had problems. Just a thought... Feel free to help me out Justin. This message has been edited by gabriel11 on 12-17-2001 at 10:54 PM
